Even though I want Boris gone all this Partygate guff is just a media storm whipped up and maintained because they don't agree with him.

If the murder of a sitting MP by an Islamic Terrorist can disappear after a few days and a Chinese spy sponsoring the Labour Party vanishes in 48 hours then weeks of Boris-bashing is just spiteful.
You do know the Chinease spy was a dead cat story first reported in 2017 by ALL PAPERS look at the date

He was a Navy Captain who killed people, nobody wants to cancel him they want the true history to be told.
Was he as your article states "A Couragous Explorer" or was he a Navy Captain who killed Indigenous people when claiming Australia, New Zealand and Hawaii for the British Empire.

The truth is he was a NAVY Captain. The Truth is he and his men killed people they encountered. The truth is he was Killed in Hawaii when he attempted to kindnap the ruling Chief of Hawaii

The right want to CANCEL the truth, the WOKE want history to be the truth not a web of lies

I will take on board some of what you mention which is interesting for a funny fucker like yourself. Don't be offended, but like fuck am I reading that article how much spare time do you think I have at work.I could have read a whole newspaper by the time read that . My main beef fella is people going around doing what they like to property whether you or anyone likes it or not- I don't simple as that really. If these statues come down they come down the right way. Not mob rule when it suits certain quarters.

The fact the whole thing didn't cause much of a stir OTR - Is another good enough indication for me that like your comments I will take on board.monkey

Well as far as I know the only statue that was taken down by mob rule was in Bristol, tell me if I am missing others. People of Bristol had tried for over a decade tried to get that statue of a slave trader removed and it remained in place despite people doing it the right way for a decade.

If you follow the rules and request it be romoved the right way, if nobody takes action do not complain when a jury states they did the right thing as a mob over ten years later to do what the council failed to do.

He was a racist slave owner and his statue now resides in a museumn where it belongs with a better true history. He was not cancelled, the truth was exposed.

BTW it is well documented Churcill was a racist, I also agree that Clement Atlee was correct in insisting Churcill was the only leader for the coming war. Labour, Atlee in paticular insisted on Churchill and worked with him in the national interest throughout world war 2. Well science has always stated as fact a vacine only reduces risk so our covid passport has always been based on coertion rather than science. You can still catch and pass on the virus when vaccinated

Any gathering/event which needs a passport should require a Test. Tests should be the passport.

My Daughter is triple jabbed and caught Covid new year, the passport is a joke based purely to push people to get a jab. Going somewhere, mixing somewhere - TAKE A TEST then go vax or no vax IMHO

Spot on
Shame so many have fallen for the spin, sadly jobs soon to be lost in NHS when daily testing should be the norm, not have you been jabbed. Test, Test and Test again, if science says 2 negative tests and your safe on day six thats OK too IMHO

Wow - Lock down the borders and no need to lock down the country time after time. New Zealand with a leftie has 52 deaths. We have 152,000.

Lock the borders and only holidays/travel become an issue. Business at home nowhere near as bad as the Johnson shitshow. Economy far better off but yes you may need longer for the 2 weeks in benidorn  :nige:

This from the Spectator in 2015 Corbyn, before the media shitstorm

How anybody can see the UK response leading to biggest economic damage and also biggest HUMAN cost and try and say it would be worse under Corbyn seems to defy belief. But I have no doubt you actually believe it.

Media puppet = muppet. The bloke with an allotment is the danger not the lying, self serving arrogant twat who does not care if you die. Look at the death toll and explain how it could be worse.

83,000 people died in England in April 2020 the highest death toll in any month in the last 5 years, what caused that when only 52 people have died in new zealand?

Johnson wanting to take it on the chin is a prime example of his flaws

OMG that is not the case but that was a silly objection. Penalties have only ever been given if you cross the Safety Car line still infront. Previous penalties of 10s etc only if ahead at the SC Line. Yes he went past Lewis but then gave the place back, thems the rules

As for the second FIA clearly marked their own homework and found they did nothing wrong despite also writing the rules.

If he Red Flagged the race rather than deploy Safety Car you actually get a very short but ultimately Fair race, changing the rules to move ONLY the 5 cars between Hamilton on old tyres and Verstapen on new tyres seems anything but getting a fair race even over 1 lap. The fact that the rules also state that Safety Car should come in on following lap not the same lap is

Cannot see how FIA win this once it goes to outside court of arbitration, Red Flag would of been a better end but Hamilton was faster all day until he got shafted by the FIA. The responese on Radio to Toto saying thats racing also is not a good look for the Race director, appears he got the result he wanted.

 :nige: :nige: :nige: :nige:
Bernie quotes a very odd stat only possible with First Past the post that Farage also pointed out prevented UKIP getting seats

Anyway Labour VOTES cast at elections
1997   13,518,167
2001   10,724,953
2005    9,552,436
2010    8,609,527
2015    9,347,273
2017   12,878,460
2019   10,269,051

2019 Labour got more votes than 2005 but in 2005 it formed the Government.

The above are facts, you quote manipulated statistics but as  mentioned on another thread a third of people do not vote. That number normally bigger than the actual votes for the winner. Our system is not a democracy

So you think 8 million is more than 10 million Bernie.

Just to add facts to your LIE Headset

2019 had a 67% turnout so 1 in 3 did not vote
Of the 67% the Tories got 43% of those who voted

So in 2019 13.9 Million voted Conservative out of 47.5 Million voters

Not sure how you equate UNDER 30% as being half the country

Tories 29.36%
Labour 21.5%
LDems 8.345%
SNP 2.61%

None of the Above 32.7% so actually they ALL LOST but our system is fucked IMHO

Daily Mail screams IMMIGRANTS! and they lap it up - turning a blind eye while the most corrupt and incompetent government of a lifetime dismantles UK democracy and funnels off billions in public funds to themselves and their cronies...

England is f*cked because about 40% of it's voters are bootlicking imbeciles, brought up to doff their cap to their "betters" from Eton and accept lies from government and the media. Most working class Tories in the NE have zero clue as to what Libertarianism is - can't spell it, no idea that's what they voted for in 2019

OK apart from Winston being a Snowflake and wanting to "Cancel Culture" Robbso can those who still support Johnson answer why you are not annoyed at what he has done in office.

In paticular they saw Covid as a way to make money as put above
" the most corrupt and incompetent government of a lifetime dismantles UK democracy and funnels off billions in public funds to themselves and their cronies..."

In light of that why are you annoyed at Robbso or Immigrants or poor People or those without power and not those actually costing the Tax payer so much cash, I know there is no such thing as Taxpayers Cash but dropping to your level  :alf:

Sadly Winston if you look at the companies who now control oil in Iraq it was far from a disaster for corporate interests in Oil. For everyone else in Iraq and those sent to fight and the resulting refugee crisis I agree it was a disaster.

Iraq Oil

Afghanistan and all the lives lost was a way to move to Iraq, they care nothing for Human cost if lots of money can be made. You only have to look at COVID and the VIP Contracts in the UK. PPE which was over priced and not fit for purpose led to many in the inner circle making money regardless of the tens of thousands dying at the same time.

PPE Storage  costing £1 million a day

So glad Vallance made the Vaccine taskforce Independant of the corrupt, by far the best part of our response looking at the failed PPE, Test and Trace and late lockdown nonsense. Johnson is clearly either inept or willing to let people die for money, I know it is the latter as he sees them as OTHER people, Oh back to the refugee crisis and Asylum Seekers.  :nige:

Agree with Olly and Winston. Asylum in France is generally double the UK, Germany sees far more than double the total in France. We are 14th in the preferred destination list in Europe.

Hate the media reporting only now looking at Boat crossings, these have increased due to COVID disruping plane and lorry routes. The numbers seeking Asylum is not increasing this year but there are more taking risky Boat crossings. That said we also know there have been previous tragedies in Lorries.

Provide a legal route and asses the asylum claim, 98% claim Asylum and 70% are granted it (including appeals)

These are primarily genuine Asylum Seekers and we should act first with humanity.

After the Boris letter I hope France simply allows those on the French Coast onto a Ferry to make sure no more people die. We then process the claims in accordance with International Law we signed in 1951.

The dublin agreement was not international law simply an EU agreement and UK HAS LEFT THE EU if Alex is to be believed

I agree this is unconnected to Online abuse and appears that some are trying to Hijack this which is very wrong. However to say it has nothing to do with political rhetoric (farage) in any way is also too simplistic.

Right wing populism including comments by Johnson have increased Islamaphobic attacks which in turn can lead to a response. Anyway interesting article, no excuse for what happend to David Amess it was a tragedy but even if not Causal there appears to be a relationship between right-wing populism and radicalisation to Islamic extremism in the UK.

Totally pointless asking joe public to do anything, dosnt make any difference .

It’s industry and the massive Corps that need to change

Totally correct https://fullfact.org/news/are-100-companies-causing-71-carbon-emissions/

China have now committed to no new coal plant investments abroad and to reduce emissions from 2026. Can only see how it goes but Johnson has funded the replacement of 90,000 gas boilers with heat pumps which is pathetic. There are 25 million Gas Boilers and the funding only covers half the cost.

Insulate Britain is a better idea, Insulate Britain lists two main aims on its website:

1. The government should fund the insulation of all social housing by 2025

2. A "legally-binding national plan" for a low energy and low carbon retrofit of all homes in Britain by 2030
Low energy homes use considerably less energy and use renewable energy for heating and electricity.

The money is borrowed. It's borrowed mainly from the BoE as Bonds, a form of IOU.
The fact that only approx 75% is borrowed in this way tells you that if it is neither without risk or infinitely available.

Any Govt still has to prioritise, make fiscal decisions and ultimately try to balance the books
BOE has one Shareholder - HM Treasury. The money was CREATED by BOE and added to Government Account. BOE cannot force Government to repay. It was not borrowed, it was electronically created (Magic Money Tree). From the article written by someone who studies such things

"There are three differences between an overdraft you can have and the one the government has at the Bank of England. First, the Bank of England can’t turn the government down. Second, the overdraft has no limit. Third, there is no repayment required.

That is a pretty amazing facility that the government has. What it means - and a law of 1866, most recently updated in 2000 backs this up -is that the government can never run out of money. In an instant, whenever it desires it, the government can always have the money it wants.

The point I am making is that the government does not need tax to spend. Nor does it have to borrow to spend. Instead, all it has to do is tell the Bank of England to make a payment on its behalf and it will always do so, on overdraft.

This is not money printing of course: these payments are made electronically, so no printing press is involved. Instead, all that is required to create money is a computer keyboard in the Bank of England that is used to enter the data that increases the government’s overdraft.

Understanding this is vital to appreciating what is going on in modern politics. It is also key to understanding the biggest lie (I use the word appropriately) told by politicians of almost all parties which is ‘there is no money to do what people want’."

MyBoro, what did the government borrow £450 billion for?

Was it furlough?

Maybe 20% covered furlough, failed track and trace needed cash, dodgy PPE to freinds and Donors much of which was useless and the rest they just wasted  :alf:

But it was NOT BORROWED, we created the money click the link below

What even previous immigrants who now earn minimum wage and contribute to the UK. We signed up to international law and getting them a Pizza seems small change.

Rishi and Johnson have printed £450 Billion and I see nothing for it, yet Bernie says nothing. Be distracted by the nasty immigrant getting a Pizza, not the corrupt Government looting the Country to the tune of hundreds of Billions

BTW we did not borrow £450 BN the Bank of England created it to cover all spending. Every time they say borrowed they are lying. Click on picture for the truth!
