I agree this is unconnected to Online abuse and appears that some are trying to Hijack this which is very wrong. However to say it has nothing to do with political rhetoric (farage) in any way is also too simplistic.

Right wing populism including comments by Johnson have increased Islamaphobic attacks which in turn can lead to a response. Anyway interesting article, no excuse for what happend to David Amess it was a tragedy but even if not Causal there appears to be a relationship between right-wing populism and radicalisation to Islamic extremism in the UK.

Totally pointless asking joe public to do anything, dosnt make any difference .

It’s industry and the massive Corps that need to change

Totally correct https://fullfact.org/news/are-100-companies-causing-71-carbon-emissions/

China have now committed to no new coal plant investments abroad and to reduce emissions from 2026. Can only see how it goes but Johnson has funded the replacement of 90,000 gas boilers with heat pumps which is pathetic. There are 25 million Gas Boilers and the funding only covers half the cost.

Insulate Britain is a better idea, Insulate Britain lists two main aims on its website:

1. The government should fund the insulation of all social housing by 2025

2. A "legally-binding national plan" for a low energy and low carbon retrofit of all homes in Britain by 2030
Low energy homes use considerably less energy and use renewable energy for heating and electricity.
4  ComeOnBoro.com / ComeOnBoro.com Message Board / Re: Subsistence for asylum seekers on: October 14, 2021, 10:26:05 PM
The money is borrowed. It's borrowed mainly from the BoE as Bonds, a form of IOU.
The fact that only approx 75% is borrowed in this way tells you that if it is neither without risk or infinitely available.

Any Govt still has to prioritise, make fiscal decisions and ultimately try to balance the books
BOE has one Shareholder - HM Treasury. The money was CREATED by BOE and added to Government Account. BOE cannot force Government to repay. It was not borrowed, it was electronically created (Magic Money Tree). From the article written by someone who studies such things

"There are three differences between an overdraft you can have and the one the government has at the Bank of England. First, the Bank of England can’t turn the government down. Second, the overdraft has no limit. Third, there is no repayment required.

That is a pretty amazing facility that the government has. What it means - and a law of 1866, most recently updated in 2000 backs this up -is that the government can never run out of money. In an instant, whenever it desires it, the government can always have the money it wants.

The point I am making is that the government does not need tax to spend. Nor does it have to borrow to spend. Instead, all it has to do is tell the Bank of England to make a payment on its behalf and it will always do so, on overdraft.

This is not money printing of course: these payments are made electronically, so no printing press is involved. Instead, all that is required to create money is a computer keyboard in the Bank of England that is used to enter the data that increases the government’s overdraft.

Understanding this is vital to appreciating what is going on in modern politics. It is also key to understanding the biggest lie (I use the word appropriately) told by politicians of almost all parties which is ‘there is no money to do what people want’."

MyBoro, what did the government borrow £450 billion for?

Was it furlough?

Maybe 20% covered furlough, failed track and trace needed cash, dodgy PPE to freinds and Donors much of which was useless and the rest they just wasted  :alf:

But it was NOT BORROWED, we created the money click the link below

What even previous immigrants who now earn minimum wage and contribute to the UK. We signed up to international law and getting them a Pizza seems small change.

Rishi and Johnson have printed £450 Billion and I see nothing for it, yet Bernie says nothing. Be distracted by the nasty immigrant getting a Pizza, not the corrupt Government looting the Country to the tune of hundreds of Billions

BTW we did not borrow £450 BN the Bank of England created it to cover all spending. Every time they say borrowed they are lying. Click on picture for the truth!

Tales of increases of £400 gas bills per year

Wthat do you pay now?

From Martin Lewis even you should be able to understand unless there is a drastic change in Supply Robbso was correct

"On 1 October, the price cap jumped by 12% (or by 13% for people on prepayment meters). For someone with typical use, the cap was £1,138/yr but that is now £1,277/yr. Martin explained that the current price cap is based on wholesale energy rates - the price suppliers pay for gas and electricity - between February 2021 and July 2021, which did rise.

However, that increase is nothing compared to the projections for next April's cap, which will be based on wholesale prices from August 2021 to January 2022 – a period which has already seen a very steep rise in wholesale rates. And as wholesale prices have continued to rise, it most likely means an even bigger increase from April 2022.

Martin said: "The latest estimate is that on 1 April the price cap will rise by 30% based on the current run rate - so to £1,660/yr on typical use. That means around a £500/yr cost increase compared to a year before. There would have to be an enormous radical change for there not to be a huge increase.""

Men and boys remain more than twice as likely to be victims of assault and homicide.

If you decide to prioritise only certain victims with only certain perpetrators you'll only perpetuate the problem.

'Violence' is the issue not 'men' just as Islamic terrorism is the problem not Muslims.
Yes but those commiting Violence are primarily MEN, but you try to hide again as you concentrate on them being victims as well.

127,000 Covid deaths in the UK and counting.

Thankfully, I’m not scared of getting the jab  :bc:

127,000 deaths with either a positive covid test or a doctor diagnosing covid without a test. No post mortems. Or in care homes, not even confirmed by a doctor.
127,000 covid desths? Not even close. I’d put my life savings on it not even being above 20,000 and that’s over 2 winter seasons as well.

I will take that bet.  Not least because it is only 1 winter flu season. April Deaths (after flu season) in 2020 show 40,000 extra deaths registered in England. By end of May it was up to a total of 65,000 EXTRA deaths registered. Below are last 5 years data for April, just a count of people issued a Death Certificate regardless of cause of death!

2015 42,286 (2,451 in North East)
2016 43,755 (2,460 NE)
2017 36,422 (2,044 NE)
2018 43,478 (2,355 NE)
2019 41,167 (2,260 NE)
2020 83,504 (4,352 NE)

From BMJ article in link
The UK had a higher rate of excess deaths among people aged under 65 in 2020 than almost every other country in Europe, new figures from the Office for National Statistics show.1 By 18 December 2020 only Bulgaria had a higher cumulative excess mortality rate among under 65s (12.3% above the five year average) than the UK (at 7.7%).

Please stop using actual facts.

421 deaths between 4th Jan and 21st March in the UK after taking AZ vaccine.
7 is the number from blood clots only. Seems to me that the papers are on the side of AZ in this.

Out of 18,000,000 who have had it ffs  :alf: :alf:

421 needless deaths of being duped into getting it "to keep them safe" by the government.

Ah well they would have only died of Covid anyhow from not having the vaccine.

Do you honestly think there would have been less than 421 additional covid deaths if there was no vaccine?

How do we know the real statistics of Covid deaths, when you die of natural causes etc but get put down as a Covid death?

I know someone that had kidney cancer for years and died last May, they tried to put it down as a Covid death.  He didn't even test positive for Covid.

Countries are on a decline of positive testing in areas where the vaccine is not that readily available.  Herd immunity is taking place like it should have done from the start.  The fact that you have to get tested to see if you have it or have had it is quite frankly absurd for a global pandemic.

The whole thing was over exaggerated/mis diagnosed from the start and there is no way governments are going to admit they were wrong.

Only real thing to look at is excess deaths - ie Deaths above Normal

https://www.euromomo.eu/graphs-and-maps

Uk is at bottom of page, all European country data is available. It is true over 100,000 excess deaths in UK mean Boris fucked it. All OK though making loads off a vaccine so money train goes on. Shut the border, get rid of the virus and open everything safely. 30,000 possible more deaths from next wave says government advisor

Impossible to compare us to Aus.  They are an isolated country with all their major cities miles apart.  They had months of not being able to go across state lines, never mind overseas, which they can police fairly easily because of the population spread and the large distances between states.

I was working with an Aussie last year her dad was diagnosed with terminal illness, it took her 3 months to get permission to return to Brisbane from Hong Kong.

Said all along if you want to see a better example of a comparable type country look at S.Korea but then they have had years of dealing with potential pandemics spreading from China and the population know the drill!
So we did it really shit you say! Compared to South Korea

Serious question if the world hadn't been locked down for a year, would you still be willing to take the vaccine?  Honest answer not 1 for arguments sake.

Interesting question, probably not is the honest answer, I am generally not someone who takes medication for the sake of it, would probably depend on personal circumstances at the time
I have Family in Australia, the WORLD has not been locked down for a year. They go to the Pub, Concerts and sporting events

You could close borders (quarantine) and do a test and trace to get rid (this applies 12 months ago) and internally all businesses would be open. There would be odd outbreaks which would entail short (days) local lock downs which is what happens in Aus and NZ

What sort of idiot statement is that. The teacher concerned appears to have followed the curriculum laid down by the Government and the school. You need to question what education is for. The good news of the Freeport and the North Treasury moving to Darlo today has provoked an amazingly bitter reaction from the last two Labour MPs in the area and the sixth former wanting to be Tees Valley Mayor

Come on - its got to be better than anything your lot have done FFS

If by your lot you mean Blair/Brown I agree but I read that article and they all welcome new jobs but the evidence from previous experience is it just means somewhere else loses (No Silver Bullet). Now on the Treasury to Darlo it is the same but great news as the loser is London.

Real Investment and a better plan would be better but at least they have followed some of Corbyn/MacDonald's ideas from the last Manifesto.

"Labour will establish regional offices of Government in each of the nine regions of England. The Offices will be staffed by civil servants from relevant departments, including Treasury, BEIS, MHCLG, Transport, and Education." - Labour Manifesto 2017 and 2019

And of Course Labourwere first to propose Corporation Tax be raised which has also been announced.

Nice to see some of the proper Marxist proposals being implemented and cheered on by those who think the Marxists knew nothing.

By The Way, another thing you probably did not notice Today. Remember when your Tribe ridiculed the Magic Money Tree?

A lot of talk (Chancellor, Tories, MSM right wing press) of record borrowing, highest since second world war (like 2008). At the same time no talk/reporting that this borrowing is not increasing Total Debt.

Well we are borrowing from the Bank of England (ourselves) which simply created an extra £300 bn before it was used. Bank of England is a subsidiary of the Treasury, we are printing Money as needed to avoid Total Debt increasing  :alf:

Fantastic and if we had stayed in the E U it would never have happened    :like: :nige:

EU has Freeports so no we could already do this. It is a Tax Avoiding area which should lead to Jobs here at the expense of Jobs in other areas. Good news for Teesside but bad news for others. Just another way for Tax Avoidance for Companies to take advantage of the rules (Loopholes).
Do your home work lefty

Read your link -
WHAT WAS CLAIMED
The EU has stopped the UK from having free ports.

OUR VERDICT
Incorrect. Free ports exist within the EU. The UK had free ports until 2012. However, EU law means free ports exist in a more limited form than elsewhere in the world.

YOUR LINK FFS You are so blinded by your tribal loyalty  :nige: :nige: :nige: :nige:
