Peter Herbert from the Society of Black lawyers told radio 5 live why he reported Mark Clattenburg to the Met Police ''I'm not really a football fan, so i didn't see the game. I saw the rolling news the next day and it became clear there was an incident. I consulted with my colleagues in the organisation and we decided to formally report the incident to the Met police. The purpose of that was to make sure it was recorded as a racist incident and anyone can report such a thing'' What a pack of r soles

Let's see. When this happened I thought 'Oh, aye, wait for the facts, cos Chelsea are uber pissed just now and could play a really nasty card in the heat of the moment'
There are 3 witnesses to the mic'ed-up time of the match, and they are all backing the ref, and i don't think they would all lie; only police, Tories, Mick and cohorts, can keep ranks close whilst a big lie is told time and again.
If it turns out someone has played a race-card as a lie they should get the same as John Terry.

And they wonder why people complain about using the "race card" when A LAWYER will try and use it in an incident he never saw, in a context (a football match) that he is unfamiliar with

For me, bad losers, angry at ref, stuff has been said and Chelsea are using the race card as its the fasionable thing at the moment. Thus also showing how against it they are to take some of the heat of the saint that is John Terry.
I thikn clattenburg is a bit of a tit but a decent ref. I know refs get stick but i dont think any would sink to this level in reality.
Footballers need to be shot down a peg or 10. Should be treat with the respect Rugby refs are. IE fucking listen and do as your told!

I can see refs taking a hard stance on players, any backchat our swearing will be dealt with by the letter of the law i.e. red card.
I was playing in a game once in Hong Kong against a Gurkha regiment, the play was at the other end of the pitch when I said something like 'just hoof the fucker next time' to a player on our team stood next to me. The ref heard me and gave me a straight red card for using fowl language. I got a fine and 3 match ban.

Brilliant from a mic'ed ref in a Union game. Gives penalty, players are falling back; one big bastard obviously mutters something, no in-your-face tirade or the like, ref stops and (here adopt right old middle class accent) says 'Well, goodness me, I've never heard the like in my life! Extraordinary. Ten metres' and moves it forward ten, whacking his heel in the floor and staring over his shoulders at the chastened behemoth.

Poll: Chelsea accused me too
By Darren Lewis
Graham Poll says he was “disappointed and angry” after Ashley Cole wrongfully accused him of taunting Chelsea.
Cole claimed, in the wake of Chelsea’s 2-1 defeat by Spurs in November 2006, that the referee had tried to teach them a lesson.
The England full-back’s comments came after Poll had sent off John Terry and booked four of his team-mates.
Poll was cleared of saying anything inappropriate towards then Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho or his players but he quit at the end of that season, claiming he had not received the full backing of the FA.
Poll said: “I had something similar after Chelsea players accused me of saying stuff I hadn’t said – and by that I am not inferring Mark Clattenburg has or hasn’t.
“It leaves you feeling very disappointed; very angry as a match official in that you are encouraged to – wrongly, I think – accept a lot of bad language in order to keep 22 on the park.”

I reckon if this gets proven as bullshit on Chelsea's part Clattenburg should sue the arse off them and the FA should deduct Chelsea some points.

Not sure how they are going to prove it one way or another mind.
Officials are saying it didnt happen, Chelsea are saying it did. What they going to do say there's ten Chelsea say it did and only 3 officials so Chelsea must be the telling the truth?

From the Society For Black Lawyers website: Our Mission The SBL is a membership organisation, which exists to:
promote equality and diversity within the legal profession; act as a representative and strategic voice for lawyers, law students, paralegals, jurists and legal academics of African, Caribbean and Asian heritage; and campaign to ensure access to justice and legal services for ethnic minority and disadvantaged communities. So what the fucks it got to do with them if that above is their mission? Publicity whores.

If I was in charge of the FA I'd be telling refs to crack down on players, they are too lenient at the moment the players get away with murder.

Well Wally that is actually in context and therefore is amusing. But a random scene of punching a baby, with no context, is not funny.

The context is a discussion on when it is acceptable to picture babys punched in the face, Wallys joke was "is punting ok?" I've not seen the film, but I persume there was a comical reason why the baby was punched?
