I wonder who the london press are going to blame this time, they cant blame downing as he wasnt even in the first 16. I think it was good he didnt play and i never expected england to beat them, we are not as good as everyone wants to believe.

Well at least they cannot blame Downing.

Croatia's first goal came from a Downing like cross,  except they had someone to finish.  The second was comical,  really just a fluke though.                             

Smac scribled in his notebook,  to avoid the bunny in the headlights look.  Failed, 'cos he still looked like a well startled bunny.

England always hesitated. Passing the ball sideways or backwards,  stalling when they should be bombing forward.

Crouch is a novelty player,  a Henry Cooper of football, or a Frank Bruno of panto.  Isn't his robot dancing cute?

Even Downing couldn't make this lot look good.
