At least it looks like it. Some German players are said to have called Anton Ferdinand and Micah Richards "monkeys" (just if it needs explanation: if you call a coloured person "Affe"=monkey in Germany it's a racist comment) during the second half.  souey
If it's rue it's very poor that such players are allowed to represent Germany in any way.

I watched this game and have to admit the germans were much better than the english and were caught cold on the break twice, but twice the german boys were blatently diving in front of goal and were awarded a pen which they missed, after one of the germans was sent off ,the game got a bit heated and the germans were doing every trick in the book to wind up the english and it was working, shame this has crept into the game at this level because I reckon if the germans had concentrated on their own game they could have won it, that walcot though, something special he is

German media says Aaron Hunt (from Werder Bremen) was blamed by the English press. Is that right?

It's quite a big story over here.

It's a bit silly though. It's not like anyone got hurt or anything. People get offended far too easily.

Are you saying that black people shouldn't get offended by being called monkeys?

Considering the German history racism is considered a very serious offence over here. It might not have the same meaning in England but calling a coloured person a monkey (Affe) is racist in Germany...

Anyway. They say Hunt hasn't said it and the two suspected people didn't want to comment it in the public so far.

Well, I don't blame them. They're football professionals. I don't expect football players to have a brain for own thoughts and if the whole press blames him why should they bother to think...
It's the same with Bundesliga, Primera Division, etc. players.
