with respect and I say this about any player on 1st team breakthrough - it's what you do in your second season and thereafter that decides if can cut it or not as a top-end championship/premier league player.
the is no doubting his ability in 3/4s of his first season. that said the first test for him now is overcoming being a marked man and still influencing games. He struggled in the latter stages of the season when he got found out and double marked - not technically his fault but still a big test for him and Boro next season.
id like to see more goals from him to go with his assist records.
the biggest compliment i can give him is the fact he is the most exciting player in a Boro shirt since Adama Traore was here and, he ended up playing in the top flight..
