Online retailer Ocado warns of shortages as suppliers cut choice

I will certainly be shedding a tear for Rupert and Lettice in Tring not getting their quinoa and goji berries this week.

Such a disaster that Belgium wants to do a direct deal with the UK independent of the EU deal.

What some of you guys don't get is that the UK buys 80 billion more goods from the EU than they export to the EU. That's 80b of jobs that are in France and Germany that should be in places like Teesside. It was a crap deal for working people in the UK from the start of joining.

Before Thatcher the UK was the highest contributor in terms of tax revenue and the lowest recipient. Even the renegotiation was marginal. Compare that with France that is one of the highest recipients of EU regeneration funds. I've always said that the EU was formed as a subsidy of France by a guilty Germany and the UK was just a mug. The UK can do much better deals with the rest of the world and maybe the only consequence is that you see fewer BMWs, Mercedes and Audis on the road.

The UK doesn't buy essentials from the EU, only "luxury" goods. we can buy them cheaper and without the prejudice from many places in the world.

France moaning like fk now and it seems the fishing details in the small print mean that we have big wins on cod and the big value fish and France get only a stake at the expense of Ireland.

Love it!

Should have stuck with the UK, Ireland rather than letting France negotiate your interests

Belgium can't do a trade deal with the UK independent of the EU even if it wants to that is not possible that not how the trade bloc works Also we import nearly half our food from the EU also car parts medical supplies vaccines etc not just luxury products.

It can, bi-lateral agreements are part of the deal.
Any EU member state can agree a bi-lateral trade deal with the UK now.

Yes to all the above but with the added bonus of knowing that all the anti-Brexit wankers' piss has boiled.
