Agree absolutely. In an act of desperation,dopey Steve Gibson appointed Warnock after appointing a long line of duds. It’s a real pity Warnock wasn’t Boro manager years ago.

I think the squad have bought into what he's trying to do, you'd certainly think you'd know where you stand with Warnock and you'd definitely know what your job was if selected. Woodgate was a top player, but I just think he needed a more experienced team around him, maybe the club tried to provide that and he wouldn't have it, preferring to be surrounded by his mates like Keane.

I just think he probably wanted to be his own man. I'm sure he had the respect of the players due to the level he played at, and the fact that it wasn't long ago. But it's when things were going wrong in games and he consistently failed to come up with answers that proved to be his downfall.

I think we'd have gone down under Woodgate.

I can’t remember, someone on here said it. Look at Bola, dicksteel and McNair under Warnock, they’re magic. The only small negative is coulson looking worse but to be fair he wasn’t consistently good pre-Warnock.   Maybe him and Spence were just overrated in an ultra negative team?

I’ve said it before but imagine if we’d have brought Warnock in instead of Monk, when we had £50m to chuck about.
