Covid fitness to travel

Has anyone had to meet the new requirement to have a 72 hour prior check on Covid 19 fitness to travel before jetting off?

Seems a right fuck on and expensive if you have to go to a private co.

If you rock up at a public centre and tell them you cant taste anything will they test you and then give a piece of paper certifying a negative test? How long does it take them to issue?
