Now doing the sob story about the poor of Greater Manchester living from hand to mouth. Well how about this. Marcus Rashford and all the other millionaire footballers at Man City and Man Ute could donate 30% of their wages to the deserving poor. Would they hell.

Footballers are effectively set up as companies and can employ tax dodging accountants - so the taxes they pay will be minimal.

Therefore OP's point is valid.

In saying that paying money into a pot that is managed by public servant crooks, incompetence and lazy malingerers who can not organise a piss up in a brewery is like paying money to a wealthy charity promising to combat starvation in 3rd world countries.

It only proves these talks with local councils are pointless. If the gov want you in tier 3, you will be in tier 3.

That might work for lucrative image rights etc, but not their wage

Sorry that's incorrect.

All salaries paid by Premier League (and football league) clubs are PAYE.

Footballers will be companies for external endorsements but their club salaries and bonuses are legit .

That was from one of Mattys dodgy links from 2016

You know you can't trust him with anything to do with money

Everyone is a tax dodging cunt, or at least should be. Its theft.
Laws don't make it moral or justified.
