As I said on a previous thread you have to admire what they have done at Leicester. Its almost the antithesis of what had happened at Boro. Two very similar sized clubs with same sort of history, but wow look at the difference in fortunes.Perhaps they got lucky when Manderic sold up,but they have just gone from strength to strength. They look like a club that is well run from top to bottom.Boro fans on the other hand have to be grateful that we took a point off QPR. Yes all clubs have ups and downs, but I'm afraid we are just at the start of our slide into total mediocrity, under the supine  eye of Big Brother.

They've spent big money SINCE they won the Premier League, before that they were very comparable to us...

Nigel Pearson surely had a big influence in creating the foundation for what they achieved. Escaped relegation from a doomed position and created a team mentality of them vs the world that Ranieri was able to use to take them to unimaginable heights

Brendan Rogers is a very good manager, they could finish top 3 and possibly challenge for 1st rava

Think you mean you wish we had their money.

Bit of both - after all we had money and pissed it away.

They have had money from the premiership/TV money, ownership but have, for the most part, used it well and gained a lot more from astute buying and selling (including developing their own youth players).

I also mean their scouting over several years not just currently (source I googled had these amounts in EUR):

- Kante: bought 9 mill; sold 36 mill
- Mahrez: bought 500k; sold 68 mill
- Chilwell: from youth team
- Vardy: bought 1.2 mill
- Maguire: bought 14 mill; sold 87 mill
- Drinkwater: bought 900k; sold 38 mill
- Schmeichel: bought 1.7 mill
- Schlupp: from youth team sold 14 mill

Won the league and now at the top again.  Brilliant stuff from a well run club.

Are you suggesting they haven't got their act together on scouting, recruitment, development, wise investment etc?

Good response to the rara's

I wonder what Leicester's scouts would have made of Carlos de Pena as an investment

Compare and contrast Leicester's recruitment team with Boro's. It's a bit like comparing a Bentley with a Robin Reliant.
