John McDonnell in fantasy land again. He has promised an "irreversible shift" of power & investment to working people outside the south-east of England, if they win the election. He said he will pledge £150bn for schools, hospitals and housing on top of existing spending plans to be paid for through borrowing. My guess is that part of the money required will come from abaondoning Trident & cutting back on our defence / armed forces. These buffoons are a danger to this country.

Christ, between Corbyn & his love for his terroist friends, Abbott & her just plain stupidity & lack of knowledge on anything relevant, McDonnell just being McDonnell, I can not rememeber even as far back as when Foot was leader when Labour were just so unelectable.

I'm no Tory, but they will walk this election due to these clowns in opposition. Labour will getting trounced then hopefully sack this current mob then start again.

I was listening to Ian Austin Labour MP for Dudley on radio 4 this morning

Voters need to heed what he is saying about Corbyn. He is unfit to run the country.
I think Corbyn truly believes this himself.

More on zero hours than ever   - more jobs full stop

Foodbanks  - being massively abused

Divide between rich and poor massively on the increase  - No

House price rises beyond the reach of many - granted

Social housing waiting lists longer than ever before - population increase partly to blame

Hospitals reaching breaking point - as above, plus shockingly bad procurement, mismanagement and rampant thieving

Violent crime epidemic - crime is down generally, stabby stuff is up. Draw your own conclusions.

Just out of interest Tegs, where do you get all your info from that makes you such an expert - for example, your response to the increase in Foodbanks and families relying on them to get by?

Are you disputing that many people, in this so called wealthy first world society, do not need foodbanks?

Your response to the inequality divide - a simple No

Income inequality between the richest and poorest in the UK widened last year, official figures show, as benefits were squeezed but wages rose.

The richest fifth of the population saw incomes rise by 4.7%, the Office for National Statistics (ONS) said.

The average income of the poorest fifth, in contrast, shrunk by 1.6%.

Source: BBC website Feb 2019

The Institute for Public Policy Research (IPPR) commission on economic justice recommends an overhaul of the UK economy, with greater fairness one of the key aims. Here is a summary of levels of inequality in the UK and the policies that have been deployed to address them over the past decade.

What are current levels of inequality in the UK?
The picture of rising inequality across modern Britain revealed by the commission’s report shows the financial health of nation is divided along the lines of income, geography, gender, ethnicity and age. It ranks the UK as the fifth most unequal country in Europe.

More than a fifth of the population live on incomes below the poverty line after housing costs are taken into account, even though most of these households are in work. Nearly one in three children live in poverty and the use of food banks is rising.

There is a sixfold difference between the income of the top 20% of households and those of the bottom 20%. Wealth inequality is much worse, with 44% of the UK’s wealth owned by just 10% of the population, five times the total wealth held by the poorest half.

As for Trident, its a bit of a knacker. Lots of people from all political persuasions think that. Proper right Peter Hitchens for example

This was Camerons plan from day one..

foister Agent Farage onto an unwitting electorate..

Plant spys in the Libs Dems..

Pick a really stupid Topic on the Voters..

divide the Public via Fake Media..

Smear the only real alternative opposition Via Fake Media..

Labour would have to be in power for the Next 50 year to

equal the debt foistered on the people by their incessant borrowing..

Everyone seems to have conviently forgotten about the animals who

have sat down with the Queen over the years and its all Corbyns fault..

The only people who will prosper under the Tories will be the

Rockerfeallas and the Soroses of this World..

But im sure you all know better..

Simply imagine all your wealth Times it by 1000 and you have

an Uber Rich guys pocket money..

At least the Europeans are looking to close down the Tax havens..

But you wont find that in the Tories Manifesto..

More in work than has ever been.

More on zero hours than ever   - more jobs full stop More in employment, so many locked into brutally unfair gig economy jobs, zero hours, delivering parcels from 6am to 9pm to earn a minimum wage, get fined if you have a day off sick or if your van gets a stone chip

Foodbanks  - being massively abused

Divide between rich and poor massively on the increase  - No Not massively maybe but the Office of national Statistics said last year the gap is widening

House price rises beyond the reach of many - granted

Social housing waiting lists longer than ever before - population increase partly to blame The Tory government at the 2015 election made a manifesto pledge to build 200,000 houses, discounted by 20% available only to under 40's. Nr of houses they actually built under this scheme -ZERO

Hospitals reaching breaking point - as above, plus shockingly bad procurement, mismanagement and rampant thieving

Violent crime epidemic - crime is down generally, stabby stuff is up. Draw your own conclusions. Police stats show crime rose by 7% last year, and taht doesnt consider the amount of crime that now goes unreported as people know the police can not respond

The list goes on and on

If you are garnering information from Auntie and The Guardian you will inevitably end up with opinions like yours.

As you ask though, yes, I am saying that there are not as many people who need food banks as the numbers suggest. If you pitch up and offer free food, and don't properly assess "customer's" needs, then many people will take it who do not need it. The numbers are manipulated in order to use them as a political football.

You stated that the gap between rich and poor was "massively on the increase" whilst the HoC research says

Inequality in household incomes in the UK has remained at a roughly similar level since the
early 1990s, but is higher than during the 1960s and 1970s. While the share of income
going to the top 1% of individuals by household income increased during the 1990s and
2000s, there was some reduction in inequality among the rest of the population (based on
incomes before housing costs) with the result that inequality overall was fairly stable
during this period.

You say that The Institute for Public Policy Research recommends an overhaul of the UK economy, of course they do, they're a left wing think tank that would prefer us to be shackled to the idiot Marxists in the Labour Party.

Think some of you fukkers need to live a spell in a European country where taxes are mainly high, food prices higher than the uk, and mainly private health care.

The problem with the UK is that there are too many useless cunts who have been unable to educate themselves to a reasonable level and are so fucking childlike, they need state intervention.

My cloggy mate pays 400 euro a month for him and his wife.   He would swap to our system any day.

and don't give me this rich man v poor man thing, as it happens in every country, voting Corbyn aint gonna change that.

You won't hear a peep from Ms Abbott during this election campaign. She'll be kept well & truly away from media microphones - just as she was in 2017.

No chance of that happening. She already put her foot in it this morning with a tweet about Ian Austin and was subsequently humiliated.

Oh T-Bone, why oh why do you and your thick headed ilk spread such massive lies. There are a load of big dafties who believe this "fake news", or maybe that's why you do it, or maybe you are once one of the big dafties who doesn't fact check anything and thats why you are what you are

This photo is from Bobby Sands Funeral in 1985, the person the arrow points to is Sinn fein man Jim Gibney. Try to be better

What I really like about forums at election times is the same people in entrenched positions spouting the same old shite depending on their persuasion and changing nobody's mind about anything.
