good podcast, has some stories from his time with us. Plenty of anecdotes about Cloughie, made him sign a blank contract, wouldn't let him have a car (or anyone on apprentice contract) withoutis permission, then gave him his daughters six month old XR3i when he went to pick up a new contract.
Should have stayed in the team when the aussie was fit again, I remember the booing when it was announced he was back in the team.
boro bit from here.

Imho

Schwartz
Platty
pears
Crossley

Not much between all 4 mind ability wise ?
Schwartz when he arrived flattened em to take a cross ....strangely that went over the years
Platty,  just totally solid , don't remember a bloomer
Pears....... v good but height seemed a prob
Crossley a seasoned pro  who kept going even as a back up in a era when a lot don't?

Pears was the best shot stopper ive seen at Boro the back pass rule ruined it for him as he wasnt the best kicker.

The worst kicker of all time was Schwarzer (he wasn't too clever at catching crosses either)
1.Jim Platt
2.Crossley/Pears
3.Willie whigham
4.Schwarzer.

 in no particular order,
pearsy was the bravest but crosses troubled him, , schwarty had good reflexes wouldn't go to feet or take a cross, platty watched him but too young to remember, Crossley, solid keeper, deserve to keep his place when he came in,good enough to be number one.
