Abducted in plain sight - Jesus that made some rough viewing.  Made it about 15 mins until the trampoline story, felt sick at that point and turned it off.   klins
I can watch just about anything with no care but that subject in such detail, no thanks.

Think the last thing to truly shock me was A Serbian Film.
Watched the uncut workprint of it and can honestly say,  how the fuck did some sick fucker think that up.   klins

The Pasolini film Salo was a bit of a shocker at the time. I haven't watched it for a long time now but I would say it will still be as shocking. Takes a fuckin nut to come up with something like that. Can't remember who wrote it and can't be fucked  to google.
I still have it somewhere. I might dig it out and give it a revisit.

Films that are gory just for the sake of it don't really bother me.

It's the films that get you thinking that I enjoy. In recent times 'Gone Girl' & 'Harsh Times' have both really stuck with me.

Gone girl was superb. They never advertised it much over here, I think it was because the Madeline McCann case was still headlining.

As a kid, watership down stayed with me.

As an adult, watching a snuff movie that a pair of young would-be serial killers made was quite depressing.  And not something I need to ever see again.
Wasn't really shocking, but did make me question the humanity of my fellow man.

That's not 'Gone Girl'. You're talking about 'Gone Baby Gone'.

I watched a horror film about a bloke who was buried alive after being executed for murder.

He then picks up where he left off, and there is a very disturbing scene where he ties an awld granny to a chair and hits her with a hammer until she dies, but starts off really slowly. Sickening.

Slightly more high brow, a French/Georgian film called 13 Tzameti, where people play a Russian Roulette game. That is tense as fuck, and you can’t take your eyes off it. It has subtitles if you don’t speak the language
