So then chaps, wilder vs fury at the weekend. What are people thinking betting wise!

Been reading all manner of ludicrous articles on Wilder's alleged boxing skills. He's been doing a good job of hiding them.

Tyson fury to take Deontay Wilder to boxing school. Obviously a fully fit fury would demolish any current heavyweight. But after the 2 years off, ballooning to 400+ ibs and intoxicating the body with drugs and alcohol it will be interesting to see how he does against a big hitter. But I personally think fury will outbox him frustrate him and get a UD win.

Fury beaten on points and retires to a drug field life.  Back to bareknuckle fights on country roads.

Fury on points and I'm going to have Crocket's £20 on it, if the odds are good.

I might even get to go to the fight as I'm in LA at the moment. Funny old thing - out of everyone I've mentioned it to (30-40 people, some of whom claim to be into boxing), only two knew anything about it and the rest hadn't even heard it was on.

I've not seen any posters or TV ads - it's all happening 15 miles from where I am and there's no buzz for it at all.

If I can't get a ticket at a decent price, I'm going to watch in a sports bar and get barred for abusive behaviour.

I read earlier on today there will be tickets for sale on the night. Heavyweight boxing in the states lost its appeal years ago.

Funny that you know, white Tyson has the same thoughts as our very own Dixieland.

It's almost word for word what Dixie said on the phone.

Isn't that Joshua/Hearn's point regarding Wilder, that he couldn't fill a Workies Club function room?

This is quite a good video.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oY9ovhLqTF0

The weigh in on Friday is open to the public so I'm having some of that!

Fury has got inside Wilder's head so has a real advantage now. Here's yesterday's very entertaining press conference in full.

He did do a good parody of Wilder walking around with his right hand held cocked back and ready to be thrown.

Wouldn't be surprised if he won, just think he's going to get too cocky and get clipped at one point.

The Tyson Fury that made Wladimir look like a clown would beat Deontay Wilder comfortably. No doubt whatsoever.

This version of Tyson Fury is unknown. He wasn't anywhere close to full fitness for the two warm up Fights & the opposition wasn't ideal preparation at all.

Fury's recovery powers after being hit are as good as anybodies. He's been studying the Sport since he was a child. Ignore for a second the way the behaves in public to get headlines. His Boxing I.Q is a mile better than the next best.

In terms of understanding Boxing. Wilder is not intelligent in the slightest. He doesn't understand how to win Rounds. He doesn't really stick to any sort of intricate game plan. What he has is crazy power. The sort of power that cannot be taught. He just has it. He has the ability to put any Heavyweight to sleep without even fully connecting.

I am concerned for Tyson Fury. Not having his Uncle Peter guiding him makes a massive negative for me. When it gets tough, Tyson won't respect what his new young Trainer is telling him. I wouldn't be surprised if the young Trainer freezes on the night. This is all new to him. Having Freddie Roach in the corner makes little difference as the legend is long past it.

I'm torn about how it's going to play out. Every single outcome is possible in this Fight. Even Wilder gassing out & getting stopped by the tippy tappy punching Fury is a definite possibility.

I may well change my mind the closer we get. If I had to pick now, I have to say Wilder. I really, really fucking hope I'm wrong.

Agreed, lack of ring time against credible opponents after abusing his body makes me favour wilder. People don't give enough credit to Tyson for the way he beat wlad.

I also hope I'm wrong.

So I went to the weigh in and I was a bit disappointed that they lined up all the photographers on a raised platform in front pf the spectators so none of the public got to see a thing.

Loads of former heavyweight champs there - Holyfield, Lewis, Douglas, Spinks (Michael), Ruddock and more.

Loads of Brits there - easily outnumbered the Septics.

I fancy a beer afterwards so I walk into the first random bar I find a go in and the guy I sitting next to is the spitting image of Ricky Hatton. I start talking to him and fuck me, it really is Ricky Hatton.

Made my day that did - we had a right good chat and I know what will happen tonight now. Lids has got it all wrong...

Tyson Fury will win easily. It will be a wide points victory and a boxing lesson. Wilder is useless whilst Fury is exceptional.

Why is the main event always so late?

It kicks off at 11PM my time I'll likely be sleeping long before then.

Too much bullshit in all these PPV, should just get the fights on one after the other.

I had a chat with a completely pissed Ricky Hatton in a bar in Altrincham about 4 years ago.

Neither did Wilder who only proved what most of us already knew; he's a bang average fighter who hits hard. Fury gave him a boxing lesson and clearly really won the fight but for dodgy judges. Anyone who watched it and says Wilder won is a either thick as fuck or a bent judge.
