I keep saying it,we have a very very poor group of players. What a disasterous recruitment team we have.Pulis will need the close season to clear most of this crap out and create his own team.

Yup

Clayton came on when Fulham were having a good go - no problem with that substitution.  Putting Johnson on was the worse decision.

We need to take our chances.

We also need a ref who isn't bent.  I want to kill that cunt.

Good Evening Jethro. It sounds as if the ref was absolute rubbish. However we had the chances to bury Fulham and could not take them.Lets hope a decent striker and midfielder are brought in soon.

Our entire team has scored about 15 goals collectively this season, itís hardly a shock we failed to score and Britt had the best chance. Iím all for getting rid of shite in jan but we need some goals/creativity to come in. Like a less-cuntish version of Ramirez.

The first half was the best I have seen us play and we should have been 2 or 3 nil up. We pressed high up the pitch and closed down quickly and then were very direct with our play. I think that is then one of our problems in the second half is that our player are not used to such intensity and are knackered. Pulis said as much in his interview.
The second half we sat too deep and I think Pulis made the wrong decisions with his subs certainly replacing two creative players with a holding midfielder and the donkey Marvin Johnson was a massive mistake.
For want of better reffing we would have won it in the second half but to be honest it should have been dead and buried before the non penalty for Braithwaite.

I am finding the Pulis era quite promising apart from his substitutions.

I thought Traore, Downing and Howson all played well today.

Dear @EFL:

Would you please care to explain why you appointed Sunderland season ticket holder Geoff Eltringham to referee a game between rivals Middlesbrough and Fulham?

t was a moment that Geoff Eltringham will never forget - when he had to forgo one of his major passions and possessions, snubbing the love of his life - when he had to bid farewell to his red and white heroes, giving up his cherished Sunderland season ticket.

Sadly, a case of needs must. Eltringham, 20 at the time, was progressing nicely in his fledgeling career with the whistle but following his beloved Sunderland, home and away, and also refereeing on Sunday mornings just didn't stack up any more. Too time consuming, too tiring - something had to give.

"It was hard," Geoff recalled. "At the time, I was devastated. Yet only in the short term, really. It was the best decision I've ever made and I've never regretted it for one minute. I hadn't been taking refereeing that seriously over the first few years but that had all changed.

"I was refereeing a park match and an assessor, Malcolm Langley, turned up to watch a different game. He watched a bit of my match as well and, when we got chatting afterwards, he said that maybe I should go for promotion. He set me on my way and we've become very good friends."

Eltringham had already accepted that, at 5ft 7in, he was hardly going to make it as a goalkeeper.

Gestede is and always has been shite, Johnson is league one level.

Downing is in his best form since he came back, by miles. Pulis seems to using traore better and howson is much improved.

We still need to find a way of getting the ball into the net more often, a ramerez-esque signing is needed.

Agree with much of that.

First 30 minutes we were excellent.  Best I've seen this season.

Can see why Clayton came on as Fulham had created a few chances and we needed to clog up midfield.  Should have been Bamford instead of Johnson.

I like Howson - he has a hell of an engine.  Downing and Traore very good.  Traore knackers himself out though.  Braithwaite was better than usual (not great though).

Friend and Gestede were weak links.

He fucked up on two key decisions.  Either totally inept or on the take.  Was bad enough to suspect the latter.

Heads should have rolled for signing Johnson and Fletcher. They were about £10m combined and fucking shite. The £50m we spent this summer was probably worth about £20m, hopefully pulis will cycle some of the shite for something better.

Hopefully, Pulis' recent comments about "Steve" asking him to "take a look at the club from top to bottom" will put an end to this money wasting lunacy?

Unfortunately I have my doubts.
