Little Donny tiny hands blames Obama for something W did as a reason for not coming to the UK. Or was it because he knows the sheer volume of the flak he was going to get?

Great move. Will save this country a fortune in property damage and the cost of policing the SFLD's protesting against a democratically elected leader. Maybe they will turn their attention on the growing cult in this country that openly persecutes and discriminates women, gay people and non-believers, though I very much doubt it, the spineless, gutless

What a petulant, childlike idiot. No wonder certain posters on here defend him. Seems to have proper self esteem issues.
Sadly this seems to be the future of politics, certainly in this country. No one gives a shit about diplomacy anymore, and ignore policies, it’s all about emotion. Brexit showed that. Both sides arguing without facts, just feelings. Politics for idiots, for people who don’t want to think about their decisions.

I don't think its ever been that different. Does the average voter understand, even at a basic level, the fundamentals of say economic policy? You only have to look at the "Corbyn factor" and see how popular he is because he sat on the floor in a train or popped into Greggs (#properledge etc) rather than having any coherent, workable policies

It seems to be getting worse. Corbynism, Brexit, Trump, Catalonia. All recent examples of people using their hearts for politics rather than their heads. It’s no way to do democracy, it leads to divisiveness and conflict.

Fair point.
Media manipulation is more important than policy. Trump has been great at it all his life (home alone cameos etc), and it’s led him to the top seat
I almost think fairvplay to him, for his brazen ruthless ambition

It could be argued that people wanting to remain part of the EU are using hearts rather than heads; very much depends on your point of view.

What I don't get is why the Labour Party - the party of "the people" - always choose such weirdos as leaders. Just get a normal, down to earth fella with sensible policies and you'll be laughing all the way to number 10

Very symptomatic of what I am worried about. People want to vote for Corbyn to be seen as "proper" lefties. I'm sure he has some good ideas, as does Theresa May (as does Trump), but he's not a politician, very much a great example of what I dislike about politics at the moment.

Threats of taxing the highest earners isn’t pro-working class in my opinion. The biggest impact on working classes in my opinion is cheap foreign labour forcing wages down, that suits business owners and visiting foreigners. Labour encouraged it. I’ve no doubt labour look attractive to students, the public sector and people on benefits but what about the majority? I’m genuinely interested in any policies which would help out the working class; which includes a high percentage of Teesside.
