Sorry to derail the thread slightly but Oasis were my band, by far the band I have liked above all other. Looking back they had two really good albums and then a lot of dross, its rare I listen to them now.

Sorry to derail the thread slightly but Oasis were my band, by far the band I have liked above all other. Looking back they had two really good albums and then a lot of dross, its rare I listen to them now.

I listened to Be Here Now last week and it's far better than I remember.

don't know but it's my favourite album of theirs, coincided with the riverside revolution and an upturn in my life.95-98 what a time to be a boro fan. :mido:
(my best year is still 1983 though,oh happy days. :homer:)

I've seen them in concert.

What's the story got very average reviews across the music press when it first came out. Funny how things turn out.

I still think they're on a par with UB40 For being the most overrated band ever though

Technically they were not great, their voices are nothing special, but they caught the feeling of the youngsters at the time. I loved them, used to go and see them at concerts, now I would probably go see Noel play acoustic if it was in a nice bar but otherwise I would not bother.
