Think about the future of yourself and your children.  About health and education.

About building the skills we need for a world that is changing at an increasing pace.

How wealth should be created and shared.

Vote wisely.

wise words Rids...unfortunately wasted on blinkered folk ....when the Tories have the gutter press as their most powerful hegemonic tool and they have a gullible electorate, there is no hope that sensibility will win.

Everyone who opposes my views, whatever they are, is thick. Apparently. And we wonder why politics is so divisive and broken in this country.

Until electoral reform (which won't ever happen) it's a complete waste of time for millions of people.
I live in Richmond constituency which is held by a Oxford/Stanford educated Indian who is married into the Murthy billionaire Indian family.
If I felt I didn't want to be represented by him or his party there is nothing I could do other than move.

It is a mental process.

Most people cant change the course of an election.

Your vote counts towards a government, but a mp for another party might actually try harder for the constituency.

Get rid of the lords.

Go to the presidential model.

A presidency to run the country a house of elected representatives to run an area and watch the president.

Just look at the last election
SNP 1.4m votes = 56 seats
UKIP 3.8m votes = 1 seat

This is a nasty one isn't it? Obviously it's great that those nutjobs only got one MP but it does show that it's clearly not democratic..

How can one party get a third of the votes of another but have 56 times more representation in Parliament? No matter how horrible UKIP are that's just fundamentally wrong.

I'm surprised they went for a GE before pushing through the boundary changes to make all the constituency numbers relatively equal.

Whether I vote or not depends if I get back over the pennines on time, especially if the carrot munchers are out with their tractors.
