To be fair his recent number one was nothing to do with Cowell and he wrote it.

So he isnt just a plastic act.

Harsh to boo him, not that I heard any.

To be fair his recent number one has everything to do with Simon Cowell and he definitely is a plastic act!

Also maybe people were booing him because when he got his 5 minutes of fame he was a proper prick to a lot of people he was also very publicly threatening and homophobic towards a young lass!!

Yep...line up line up for your zero hours contract....that'll pay your rent and give you security until the following week when you are offered 4 hours work....lose your flat for rent arrears....vicious circle continues ad infinitum

The Tories are showing their true colours now.....squeezing the working familes they reckoned they were representing, while creating more and more opportunities for friend families and fellow upper class cunts to fleece their own nest. Cunts of the highest order

3  ComeOnBoro.com / ComeOnBoro.com Message Board / Very Brave 8 year old girl from Billingham on: July 22, 2014, 01:34:14 PM
There is a story in the gazette today about a little girl in Billingham that has a very rare form of cancer. She is in my Nephews class at school and another little girl in the school has offered to shave her head so she didn't feel embarrassed when she came back to school. The hair is being donated to the princess trust to be made into a wig for other girls that are getting treatment, they are also fundraising for the same charity.

If anyone lives in billingham and wants to attend the fund raiser at Bewley Primary school tomorrow afternoon that would be great or if you can give anyhting you can through the links in the article it would be really appreciated.

http://www.gazettelive.co.uk/news/teesside-news/brave-billingham-youngsters-swollen-leg-7470654

This is a heart breaking story that a girl so young could be going through so much but it is also amazing to see how strong, brave and kind young children can be!

Pulp were the best writers of the Britpop era , fact.

Oasis were excellent though. Pub rock singalonga tunes. Best band of their Era? no ways. Most important band of the era? Absolutely yes.

And some of their later stuff was actually excellent. In a different way to the earlier stuff mind. In the early days they tried to be the biggest band in the world with every song. Later albums were much more controlled and refined.

This is the most sense you have ever made on a message board and I have to agree with every word of it.

Smalltown - I think you will find I said as a country we need to address the problem (I don't mention society at all) and I was asking for suggestions  from Piglet as to how we can do this. I am no vigilante or tax protector super hero so it is certainly not down to me.

I also say that I think punishments should be far harder - this also infers that I don't believe that society or community should fix the problem but that the problem should be fixed by the authorities.

I will also ask you the same question I have asked Piglet what steps as a country should we take to ensure that the people that are taking the piss are prevented from doing so or get caught when they do?

Oh and do me a favour mate next time you comment on one of my posts make sure you read it first eh, it saves everyone's time. Cheers Rusty

You're not making much sense. You say "as a country " yet state it's not the government's  fault. You then say it's not up to society  to address the problem. What did you mean, exactly then, by as a country? Did you mean the country as a physical entity? Maybe I've always thought the Norfolk  Broads don't do enough to help the disabled.

Btw you know my answer, because I've told you to do it.

Once Again smalltown you are trying to be pedantic and look intelligent rather than reading the post or trying to understand it. This doesn't make you look clever by the way it makes you look like a bit of a dick, but i think you know that already and that is why you do it.

I have never said it is the governments fault at all I am asking for suggestions as to what the government can do about it because Piglet obviously believes that investigating people is wrong. I know you clearly think I should grass people up and that will fix the problem but I am not a super hero I can't go out finding all the people in the country that are pretending to be disabled.

For the record when I say country I mean the lawmakers and authorities that are supposed to run this country. Those whose job it is to sort these problems out.

Once again I will ask the question of you and Piglet, How would you suggest we find the people that pretend to be disabled? And how do we deal with them once we do?

If you genuinely believe that we should just believe that these people don't exist or that we should just let everyone that says they are disabled claim disability benefit and get brand new cars etc for free, then that is fine just say it and we can stop having this debate as there is no point. Cheers Rusty

We all know people who are claiming disability when they shouldn't be or driving around in mobility cars etc.

Who are they? Name them here. NOW.

And what have you done about it?

"
Number 1 - Who the fuck do you think you are talking to saying "name them Now" I am trying to have a grown up conversation so please refrain from making demands

Number 2 - I am not a member of the authorities it is not my job to do anything about people that are taking the piss.

Why don't you have a reasonable debate and answer the questions I put to you in my original post.
8  ComeOnBoro.com / ComeOnBoro.com Message Board / Re: Targeting the Disabled on: February 27, 2014, 09:57:42 AM
It always amazes me how the left wing always want to blame the government and not the people who are actually taking the piss.

We all know people who are claiming disability when they shouldn't be or driving around in mobility cars etc. These are the people that are making it difficult for the genuine people that need these benefits. Unfortunately the people who are taking the piss are the ones that will say anything to keep there filthy money so they are ok while the genuine cases suffer.

As a country we need to tackle this problem and how would you suggest that is done Piglet? Or are that left wing you think everyone should just be allowed to say they are ill and then we don't question it?

Personally I think people that are proven to be abusing the generosity of the state should be given far harsher sentences and this could maybe act as a proper deter ant to these disgusting people. People that claim they are disabled when they are not are the absolute scum of the earth in my opinion!!!

I was in town last night for a curry and my nephew was playing at Mink and as I had never been I thought I would go and have a look in.

What an absolute gem of a venue, great atmosphere, fantastic design and some proper quality local talent on display. It was there open mike night which apparently they do every week and it was good to see so many young talented performers getting the chance to showcase there talent in front of a good audience.

In recent times I have always been disappointed with what was on offer on a night out in Boro but this is a real breath of fresh air.

The coffee is very good too, so the coffee snobs of the board will be well catered for (I am sure they will be able to find some red mountain if Notts decides to drop in).

I'm not defending him as I do have a bit of a problem with the whole writing team thing, however i do feel it necessary to point out that if you listen to the lyrics to the seen it all song he is not saying he has seen it all in life. He is actually talking about 1 particular night and what went one as in "bloody hell I have seen it all now"

Like I say I did quite like the sound on the first album but I do feel a bit like he is some kind of manufactured product and that leaves a bad taste in my mouth really.

I used them to stop about 5 years ago when when you could only get the refillable ones. I used the menthol flavour liquid and started off on the strong and over about 4 months used weaker liquid until I was using it with a no nicotine liquid. I really couldn't recommend them enough. None of the options reflect my circumstances. I moved to the outskirts of Durham city which is great as I am only a 25 minute drive from Teesside. This means I can still spend a lot of in Teesside, seeing family and friends going to the match etc.
I wouldn't want to move back to Teesside however as I feel my family have a far better quality of life where we are. I wouldn't move any further away though as I couldn't imagine not being able to go to matches and see family and friends all the time.

Although this should have been looked into further before divvying it up between the 2 parties it is hardly theft and to suggest it was is a little bit sensationalist.

I don't know the full ins and outs of this case or who was responsible for accepting the money without looking further into the matter but you must understand that the political parties receive quite a lot of donations in wills so this was just handled the same as others, Without someone speaking to the executors to really try to understand what the ladies intentions were.

A political party wouldn't really want to risk this type of attention for what is actually quite a small amount of money in the grand scheme of things.

There has been some ridiculous things said on this board over the years and there is not often I feel the need to get involved in the argument, the stuff Bernie has said however are by far the worst I have seen.

I think the reason Bernie is struggling to understand homosexuality is because he is a total sexual deviant that knows he is not to be trusted around women and girls, so by his rationale every gay man can't be trusted around boys.

What you need to remember Bernie is not everyone is a sexual predator wether they are gay or straight so please don't judge others by your standards!!!
39  ComeOnBoro.com / ComeOnBoro.com Message Board / Re: Gay Adoption: It was always going to happen on: July 03, 2013, 10:16:39 PM
To be fair the bullying thing is a bit of a falsehood, attitudes have changed massively since we were at school. Kids just aren't as bothered about sexuality these days and quite rightly too.

As for some of the shite that has been said on this post you all need to give your head a shake. People aren't gay because they have been abused they are gay because they are attracted to men!!

As for Bernie (the boards resident pervert), to associate homosexuality with paedophilia is fucking terrible and the risk of abuse would be no different to placing a child with a hetrosexual couple you idiot! I think you need to stick to chasing women round the town with your hidden camera you horrible little deviant!!

I used them to stop smoking. It was about 5 years ago before they were as readily available as they are now. It was the best thing I ever did and they made stopping really easy. I started on strong nicotine strength and gradually moved down to nicotine free over about 2 months then just sopped using it all together and I have never wanted a cigarette since. I would recommend menthol flavour though as the other ones tasted horrible - although they might have improved now!
43  ComeOnBoro.com / ComeOnBoro.com Message Board / Re: Thatcher Dead! on: April 08, 2013, 09:59:47 PM
Why do I have to dance around here? I have utterly hated Margaret Thatcher all my life. She epitomises everything I hate in a tory. She waged war on the working class of this country. She was prepared to put every industry to the sword, just to defeat trade unionism and, especially the hated miners who had twice defeated her party to achieve decent pay for working in hell. She put her obsession above any compassion or social realism and destroyed so many communities. When the mine shut a pillow had been put over the face of the village. She turned our country into a place of self serving selfish people. She turned away from manufacturing and to her friends in the financial services industries.
I loathed her and I will go to London next week to see her off with trade unionists and other left wingers, so to hell with her.

This whole destroying communities thing absolutely pisses me off. Most people in the north east especially in in ex mining villages are far better off now and have a far better lifestyle. Yeah the mines closing was accelerated and this caused a lot of pain at the time but the unions and especially Scargill are as much to blame for that as she is. What Maggie actually did was facilitated people being able to do something other than work in a factory or down a shitty mine, the problem is the lazy chose to use her as an excuse for not getting off there arse.
44  ComeOnBoro.com / ComeOnBoro.com Message Board / Re: The BBC love in for maggie makes me want to kick the TV on: April 08, 2013, 02:48:28 PM
Its a good point Northstand but your probably talking about an exceptional person. The weak were just left to die on estates

I can assure you this is not exceptional circumstances all my wife's friends that she went to school with have successful careers and most of them still live in a pit village in Durham. There are also other people in the village that don't have jobs etc but they are not weak they are lazy - they definitely wouldn't be going down any mine to work if it was open.

This talk of destroying the North East really winds me up and we are making excuses for people that don't want to help themselves. How many people do we know in our area that earn good money and have very good lifestyles and some of them are not very bright or educated at all (just look round this board) Maggie facilitated that and I am grateful for it!
45  ComeOnBoro.com / ComeOnBoro.com Message Board / Re: The BBC love in for maggie makes me want to kick the TV on: April 08, 2013, 02:20:07 PM
She made only 2 people from my school get a job out of 240 kids. My family was wealthy in Teesside until her politics, we ended up in a council house. She ruined the north east and the british working man. A very stupid women who is the start of britains huge decline and the start of the fugal system that working class people live in now

There is lots of problems with this statement but to say she ruined the North East is bullshit. In my opinion she showed the people of the north east how to be aspirational and how there is more out there if you want it enough. My wife is the daughter of a factory worker and a mine worker In Durham. all her parents will tell you how she destroyed the community while failing to see that my wife is a Civil Engineer and all her cousins etc have far better lifestyles than they could of dreamed of. Would they want their Kids in factories and down mines - would they shite!

Owen Jones should not be taken seriously by anyone, he is a militant left winger that makes a lot of noise without any thought about how things actually work or where revenue should come from. If the likes of Owen Jones were making this country's decisions we would be bankrupt in a fortnight.

In my honest opinion putting up an article by Owen Jones is on a par with when Mick used to put up a BNP article to prove his points, absolutely nothing can be gained by looking at any situation from such a blinkered viewpoint.

And for the record the left need to stop just being anti cuts and start producing some real solutions to the mess they have created or they are never going to be taken seriously. To use a famous quote that Owen jones likes to trot out "the definition of insanity is to do do the same thing over again and expect a different result" well I would agree with that which us exactly why we know the result of any labour government, the money runs out as they will always spend more than they have no matter how good they economic situation is.

1. They are my team and I will support them and I would support them if they were struggling in the northern league.

2. I still look forward to the games - I see some of my mates and we have a bit crack and a beer.

3. I would only end up out shopping for house stuff or something with the Mrs and Ikea is shite.

4. I believe that you give up the right to moan about signings and performances if you don't go - I hate hearing people that don't go any more trying to tell me what is going wrong at the club, how would you know? you don't watch them. or saying that the atmosphere is shite, turn up and make an atmosphere then etc etc. I don't want to be one of these people!

5. I will always believe that things will get better and we will win the next game 10 - 0 and if I don't go I will miss it - we will play chelsea off the park tomorrow by the way.
