As a strong Boris supporter and I do like the guy....but it's time he fucked off now and take Sunak with him.

Guessing it was "Team Boris" that lobbed the grenades into Sunak's front yard. Won't go now, but can't see him leading them at next General Election, guessing the figures in the dark so to speak have some one in mind!

Iíd agree to an extent as labour have now adopted a lexit position.

Itís very possible Bojo wonít stand at the next election

I think thereís over 65 million people in this country that know heís a liar and everyone who voted him in 2019 probably knew.

I must admit I thought it was accepted that the reason Johnson became PM is because the pro EU second referendum lot refused to compromise.

I mean they could have stayed in a backstop and single market under Mayís deal but didnít think they should compromise and rejected it and then Bojo became PM and Labour then back what they call his Ďhard brexit dealí and Labour have now become a hard brexit party.

I never have understood why the Labour right eulogise so much about Starmer. I suspect theyíre just really thick.

This article has the correct conclusion:

Youíre trying to question how does EDF own so much of the UK energy market which Iíd also like to know

But letís start from 1998 when EDF controls zero percent and Labour are in charge

8  ComeOnBoro.com / ComeOnBoro.com Message Board / Re: The Civil Service on: May 18, 2022, 07:01:17 PM
It's the Tory way, slag off and demonise a work sector, make huge cuts and blame them, flog the sector off and watch it become 85% French owned!

Iím confused are you referring to EDF? They only enter into the UK market in 1998 1 year into Blairís government.

Basically itís a Neoliberal problem that has been around since Thatcherism and continued under Blair and now the morons seem to think the solution is a return to blairism neoliberalism

Utterly stupid

Rutters is right he canít get out of his own words now, which is that by merely having a police investigation - you should resign - according to Starmer. I think they call it changing your stance  :pd:

Nobody who is either a socialist or left leaning will be too sad to see him go

I imagine a few of the Labour right are having absolute meltdowns right now. My usual impression is theyíre absolutely thick as shit however.

The Guardian is already writing articles about the Labour Party being aware of Ďmanoeuvresí on the front bench to replace Starmer. He really is toast

What a dopey twat. He set a trap and fell in it  :pd: And now heís toast as others like to say.

Tories have managed to fight off party-gate for 6 months. I hadnít even had Xmas dinner at that point.

Beer-gate really only came back on the 29th of April, when the press is corrected that Raynor did attend the Durham event

9 days later Labour have already offered both the leader and deputy up on a platter and have to seriously consider a potential search for replacements for them both all on the outcome of a fixed penalty notice  mick

Seriously itís just rank amateur. It reflects on each others strategic advisors

I don't think this event in any way is comparable to ALL the events at downing street

However Labour did lie that Raynor wasn't there and I do think think Starmer broke the rules and now they are struggling to deal manage the press fallout

I suspect Labour are in massive trouble in so many areas and you and I did say Boris would make it to the May elections unlime OTR who simply do not understand politics.

Depending on what is still to come out on the Sue Gray report I'd go as far as to say Boris will probably be leader at the next election

I also think Lib Dems will do well tomorrow in the South

Boris is a populist and will probably throw loads of cash at the cost of living crisis before October and might even introduce a windfall tax on oil companies

I don't think they will care too much about tomorrows results

And the fact Biden was on record prior to his election saying he would withfraw troops

And then after he was elected saying it's his decision to withdraw from Afghanistan

How do you explain that?

Trump's administration did a direct deal with the Taliban on 29/02/2020 in Doha(sp), with the Afghan Gov't excluded. Biden said he'd withdraw without the knowledge that Trump already had a deal, and when it all kicked off he had to react. The whole sorry mess is 100% Trump!

If you want to understand why Brexit happened forget economic arguments and just go back to 96 when there was a fringe Euro scepticism and then look at 97  Blairís legacy and by the time he left office brexit was arguably irreversible. All within 13 years

The Blair timeline has all major contributors - unlimited immigration record levels of manufacturing decline, Voters beginning to abstain who will later vote for brexit - the rise of Farage who literally doesnít become more than a unheard of fringe politician without Blair. Tribal loyalties being torn apart

Blair didnít reform banking and tax evasion. We enter a capitalism for the public era (austerity) and a socialism for the free market bankers (bail outs) meaning that those who advocated free market deregulation would have collapsed by their own rules but the public are expected to be good socialist and see cuts to pay for the loans/bailout for bankers

Housing crisis particularly for generation Z who now are less likely to own a property or pay 50% of the wage after tax on rents and statistically less likely to have kids

I did say etc - the other issues Corbyn talked about was the NHS and social care as well as wages

It was in part linked to my other comment that I donít know why some left wing media gets labelled as such when as soon as a socialist leader is elected they seem to push against it and as I said panic

39  ComeOnBoro.com / ComeOnBoro.com Message Board / Re: New channel - TalkTv on: April 20, 2022, 08:02:17 PM

41  ComeOnBoro.com / ComeOnBoro.com Message Board / Re: New channel - TalkTv on: April 20, 2022, 05:43:31 PM
What we need is a left wing channel

I know C4 Guardian and LBC sometimes get thrown into the left wing category but they all panicked when Corbyn was elected leader and was he talking about the housing crisis and nationalisation and the NHS and social care

42  ComeOnBoro.com / ComeOnBoro.com Message Board / Re: The Left seems to hate Britain - yet thinks its fine for migrants on: April 20, 2022, 05:39:28 PM
I donít see any way back for Labour. For at least a generation. Actually Raynor is probably more likely to be prime minister than Starmer. The statistics and problems they face just make it impossible for them to get a majority. Thereís simply no way without Scotland and thereís arguably bigger issues as well.

Tories will hold their line on policies but may change leader at some point.

Labour seem to have moved right on some of the cultural issues under Starmer anyway.

But Left is a broad definition. The identity politics and moral superiority complex of some of those on the left and total lack of solidarity with the working class canít be held together as left wing under say a political party like Labour. I even expect the May elections to be reasonably fair to the Tories

At some point PR will have to be the solution for those of us on the left but not for the reasons I ever read on the Guardian
