It used to be that fines collected from fixed cameras went to the local council and they made shed loads from them.

Now it all goes to the government. The local councils are skint so they gave up maintaining them to save money.

Quote
In the New Statesman, George Eaton argues that to hold another referendum would show disrespect to those who voted last year by 52% to 48% for Brexit. However, Nigel Farage told the Daily Mirror on 16 May last year – 38 days before the referendum – that “in a 52-48 referendum this would be unfinished business by a long way”.

Well if Nige thought a 52% to 48% vote would mean unfinished business by a long way well maybe there is still unfinished business.

Incredible: the work that's gone into making that advert

It was like something the losing team on the apprentice would come up with - who in their right mind ever thinks getting an outdoor trampoline in the middle of winter is a good idea for a christmas present? - I can't see the hoards dashing down to John Lewis to get in line to buy one of those.

That said I guess Newport has already bought one

As for dog/fox whatever on a trampoline - very creative - just nick any old idea off Youtube and charge John Lewis a few hundred thousand for coming up with the ad

Nice to see parliament taking back control

If parliament votes against brexit I suppose the kippers could fight it and take it all the way to European Supreme court - which is a bit ironic

I wonder which country we let him in from to protect him? Thanks for the payback!

Apparently he is a Norwegian / Somali ..... Never heard of one of them before .   We all know there is about as much Norwegian in him as  :matty: has Testosterone in side him .

They would get a lot more respect if they just told the bloody truth . He is a Somalian who made his way to Norway for a passport then ended up in London to go on a rampage . He is not Norwegian, British or European he is Somalian .

Like the saying goes a dog born in a stable  does not become a horse . If it bit some one its not a horse/dog is it . it is a dog . woof woof ..

For a five year old that's some dedication to the cause.

I think a winning a game in the Champions League counts for more co-efficient points than winning a game in the Europa League.

At the end of last season I think we were about 3 points ahead of Italy, however this lead disappears at the start of this year as one of our better previous years no longer counts and we pretty much start level with Italy.

Southampton and West Ham not making it to the group stages of the Europa League did not help.

What happens this year does not effect next seasons places (we still have four) it counts for the following season

So after defeating ISIS with a few bombs the RAF move on to bombing Assad to defeat him next - well good luck with that.

Things have moved on from two years ago when Cameron wanted to bomb Assad in as much as Assad has now got his mate Putins air force in town and along side him to give him a hand.

They're too far back to Win the League.

If Sturridge can Start on average 2 out of 3 games, they'll walk in to the Top Four.

He is deadly.

Too far behind ? .. really ?

Six points behind, starting to play good stuff under klopp and have already played Arsenal, Chelsea, Man U, Man City, Spurs, Everton away from home
23  ComeOnBoro.com / ComeOnBoro.com Message Board / Re: The day / night pink ball test match on: November 29, 2015, 09:12:33 PM
Aussies got very lucky, first innings in a low scoring game, 70 odd behind 8 wickets down.

Nathan Lyon on 0 sweeps and NZ appeal for catch, turned down so they review.

English 3rd umpire takes five minutes to make his decision.

When this is shown on big screen

Nathan Lyon starts to walk off and is 3/4 to the way to the boundary when he's given not out as 3rd umpire couldn't be sure what caused the mark on the bat.

As the bat went nowhere near anything other than the ball, absolute joke decision.

Aussies ended up with 20 run first inning lead, enough to win the game.

Hoddle was a great player and leader back in the 80s. To help bond the Spurs team before kick off he would hand out a hymn sheet and ask the players to stand and read it together.

Once away to West Brom in March 1987 during the reading Graham Roberts spoke up and said 'maybe we should sing' to which Glen replied, 'It's ok Graham there is no need, as long as we continue to read from the same hymn sheet we'll be fine'

The Iain Duncan Smiths - Pigs Mouth Strikes Again (feat David Cameron)

Sweetness, sweetness by now I guess you probably will have read
That I put my Percy in a pig's head
Sweetness, sweetness, I was so young and easily mislead
So I'm afraid it’s true what Ashcroft said

And now I know just how that pig felt, now I know just how that pig felt
When I rocked up and put my pisser in its kisser and went at it full pelt

Pig's mouth, how you've come back to haunt me
Pig's mouth, how you've come back
Pig's mouth strikes again! I put my nob into its gob and it was suckling sow

And now I know just how that pig felt, now I know just how that pig felt
When I rocked up and put my spout into its snout and had a spit roast that smelt

Pig's mouth, how you've come back to haunt me
Pig's mouth, how you've come back
Pig's mouth strikes again! I put my nob into its gob and it was suckling sow

Not sure if it is just the rent-a-mob crazies in the labour party, there seems to be a bit more in it than just this.

The tories may be smiling now at the prospect of having corbyn as opposition leader but if they have any sense they might be wondering what the hell is going on here.

What happens if your average voter no longer continues to buy into the tory propaganda feel good factor and we have to have more and more austerity forced upon on them.

Could be interesting times ahead if the economy falters and the tories can't keep everyone onside. The next election might not be the walkover a lot of people are predicting at the moment.

If it was down to him, Mourinho would not have let him go to Arsenal in a million years.

However this went above Mourinhos head, Abramovich said he could go wherever he wanted to after giving Chelsea many years of loyal service. Cech wanted to play regular football and stay in London (so that his kids can stay at same school), Arsenal was the obvious choice

I have no sympathy for this shyster, what a difference a year makes.

When Liverpool were nicking Sterling from QPR it was just a case of 'obviously the lad shouldn't be prevented from furthering his career and move to a bigger club that might win things'

Same applies now Brenton, still with the massive transfer fee you could go out and spunk it all on a another couple of Southampton players.
