Sorry but people did get hung drawn and quartered and pressed to death with large rocks.

This is the problem BBC has, its got to try and please everyone so it ends up with limp wristed tv and pleases no one. They wont dare do this kind of thing again.

This would be tame by Amazon and Netflix standards, but no one complains because they choose to watch and dont just flick onto the nasty bits by accident  .

BBC will just have to stick to romance dramas , but dont forget for every straight romance they will have to do a LGBT version as well.  :alf:

less players in box means more room for goalie to drop it , i mean catch it ........

Correct. Our defenders usually just get in the way of the keeper. But a keeper has the best chance of winning the ball in the air, cos he can use his hands.

We reduce his chance.  lost

Bamford tried chasing a ball against Cardiff and their defender just cruised past him.

That was how he scored goals.

I dont know if hes lost a yard of pace or the rest of the world has gone faster, but I cant see him scoring many.

This is clearly what managers see in training and why he doesnt get picked much.

Definitley looked slower than usual on Saturday, that ball he chased down he was running in treacle.

Looked more a physical issue then a reaction thing to me.

By the way 15 yards isnt really that much anyway.

I would suspect thats pretty standard for a two up. They only move together when they have the ball.

9  ComeOnBoro.com / ComeOnBoro.com Message Board / Re: Should Monk be sacked? on: Today at 11:11:42 AM
He done well when used as a lone striker in the championship before and he’s a few years older. The first few yards is in your head, you lose it when not playing regular football. Bamford needs games and should be starting before fletcher, in any position. If we had a better wide player I’d say keep bamford on the bench and use him as a reserve striker but we don’t.

To be fair he wasnt really a lone striker, Vossen played behind him and worked his balls off to get up in support.
i posted a stat on vossen which showed his average position in a game, he was 15-20 yards deeper than bamford when they played together.

Not all the time.
it was their average position on the pitch.

So sometimes he was further back and sometimes closer.

As I say he was running around like a blue arse fly.

We are getting worse not better.

Has he lost the players?

If he has hes doomed, very few managers survive that.  GM3

In such a world, even a well-intentioned light smack is half an inch away from accusations of abuse, the call to Childline, and the official dissolution of the family involved by police and social workers.
The ‘rescued’ child is then often plunged into a dismal chaos of neglect in authority-free ‘care’.

Exactly.

Kids really are in trouble if they are in authority care.

They let them get gang banged by Pakistani men and look away.

Compare the squad this year to the one that got promoted.

Britt will score more then Nuggets.

Marty will play more then Gaston.

Other then that there is little difference.

Manager is fucking it up.

Its not top two, but should be top six.

So we should keep getting rid of managers to please the players. Makes perfect sense. If it is true regarding the likes of downing then they should bite the bullet and sack him. Send out a message. Openly acting against the best interests of the club can surely be spun out as a breach of contract and used to negotiate an exit. If half the troubles are to be believed the club is rotten to the core.

Its cheaper to sack a manager then a team. Players know that.

Its a football wide problem not just Boro.
32  ComeOnBoro.com / ComeOnBoro.com Message Board / Re: Downing on: Yesterday at 09:58:02 AM
Football is mad. I tbought he was our best player yesterday. Not saying im right, just saying it's odd that peope can have such polarised views of the same performance.

Every player was
Shite.f.

As usual Downing provided no goals or no assists.

People need to study up on what attacking players are supposed to do, then look at Drownings stats.

Unarguable proof he has been shit on his return.

Just because others are shite doesn't mean he isn't
33  ComeOnBoro.com / ComeOnBoro.com Message Board / Re: We are now in the bottom half of the Chumps. on: October 21, 2017, 11:47:29 PM
Basically the entire team wanted rid of Karanka. There was no option to sack him or we would have had to sell all the English lads as well this season. :nige:

34  ComeOnBoro.com / ComeOnBoro.com Message Board / Re: How times have changed on: October 21, 2017, 11:41:56 PM
Negredo was good enough.  No good without any service and having 1 shot on target all game when you're at home.

Perhaps if he tried breaking sweat a bit more he might have got in the box a bit more.

If theres no one to pass too in a danger area.

 :wanker:

The amount of times hes was chasing his own flick on last season was ridiculous.  He put a shift in plenty of times just it goes unnoticed to the likes of you who are used to watching bushwacker bill and farmer fred playing for woolyback united
i missed this thread the first time. If a lone striker with no support is flicking the ball on its because he’s a daft cunt. It’s akin to a keeper making a back pass, just plain stupid.

Exactly. A flick on to no one and Les thinks that's good. :alf:

I can't remember Warnock ever putting his name forward to be our manager?

I do recall him making gushing comments about Gibson though. Which I suppose amounts to the same thing where a lucrative & lengthy contract here is up for grabs.

There was an article recently  saying it was a job he wanted

I don't think he needs to be begging in the papers when the jobs available.
