Considering the weekends shock results, we got off lightly.
Beaten by a far better team, but not shame in it.
Sadly, this kind of small club mentality is quite prevalent amongst our fan base with regard to this one-sided rout. Some people need reminding we were not some plucky National League outfit chancing their arm against Premier League 'big boys'. We're riding high in the Championship and put out a full strength team. I was fucking appalled with what I witnessed on saturday.

Why, where is the money now going? 12 years ago we had small waiting lists. 4 Million before the pandemic. Tax or eat the fucking rich and keep people alive. End Homlessness by taxing the fucking rich.
You know what they will still be rich but we will have nobody homeless and will treat ill people.
Merry Xmas far right ghouls, you have more in common with (immigrants) Braverman and Patel than me born in a council house. OMG you are so stupid.
Hmmm. Thats an original one! And who knows, in doing so we could maybe even create a nation of unaspirational, state-sponging morons in the process. P.S. Both Suella Braverman & Priti Patel were born in the UK.

In fairness to Jones he's a victim of his own success from last season, most notably through his link up play with Crooks - who himself has rarely featured this season. When he isn't getting marked or hacked out of a game he still looks to move the ball into the box only to find theres sometimes no one there to receive it so tends to check inside, thus losing momentum. On the plus side opposition defenders concentrating on him has given Giles less attention culminating in the latter having imo his best game for us today.

You can see how unhinged the libertarian right have become as the BBC used to be their big lefty biased bad boy. But now its ITV as well, and C4 of course, and even Sky News has become sly news. So they believe that even Rupert Murdoch is peddling lefty propaganda! Thats how extreme they have become. If its not Fox or KGB News they wont have any of it.
You do know Sky News UK ISN'T owned or ran by Rupert Murdoch, don't you.

How the fuck does somebody with little likeability get into the position he's got? The man is a total cretin.
I'm told he's coming across as ok - much to the disappointment of the Labour loving organisation who are trying to stitch him up.

The appointment of Carrick is understandable but a little underwhelming. The re-appointment of Woodgate is bordering on horrifying and clearly a club appointment - of which they're not even trying to disguise if this quote from their Gazette media arm is anything to go by:
"Carrick was almost in over a week ago before one of his initially intended coaches decided against the move for family reasons. Boro were forced back to the drawing board to assemble a coaching team Carrick was happy with and Woodgate was appointed"
Theres nothing I hope more than to be proved wrong, but all this has the potential to unravel very quickly making recent goings on at Conservative HQ look almost orderly.

Oh and surprise surprise. Boris cant get the 100 votes. His devotees, in a another Trump type move, spread more lies to try and conn people that his campaign had momentum it never had.
Any tory who voted for Truss and then backed Boris should be banned from voting on anything ever again dur to their proven lack of judgement.
So what your saying is that its totally wrong to back a second coming of Boris Johnson (irrelevant anyway) but perfectly ok to trust a lifelong socialist, elected to parliament on a manifesto that made Liz Truss' spending plans look almost judicious in comparison?

Surely it cant be as bad as the last two games. Play both Jones and Giles and have a chance of gettting something from the game. 1-1 I reckon
Apart from taking the occasional decent corner, what else has Giles done to impress you? He and Jones are pretty much our only potency going forward. Thats why they both have to play in my opinion. I agree, when I have watched Giles he is always looking to drive the team forward, he is or wants to be involved in every attack and he puts a lot of dangerous balls into the box. Him and a forward like Mitrovic would be absolutely lethal. He can't dine out on his debut forever.

The media is trying to tell a tale that people are starving under a Tory government and that under a labour government there toils would be over.
The media is absolutely determined to do for Liz the way they did for Boris. They are totally out of control now. Eh? The arrogant cow has brought it all on by herself. Aided & abetted by the selfish, racist, geriatrics who voted her in. The very same selfish, racist, geriatrics who'll be the first to start crying when the socialist claw reaches deep into their wallets.

I can just picture Kieran Scott's job interview now.
Gibson: "Well Kieran, your brief is to deliver the next James Maddison & Teemu Pukki."
Scott: "No problem, Mr Chairman."
Gibson: "Ah good. The jobs yours."
ONE YEAR LATER
Gibson: "Well Kieran, which Premier League quality midfielder & forward did you manage to bring in to the club?"
Scott: "Well Steve, I, er, managed to see off PSG, Barcelona & Bayern to land Massimo Luongo & Mathew Hoppe."
Gibson: "Wow! Excellent work. Neil Bausor and I will be sorting out an immediate contract extension for you."
Scott: "Cheers sucker...Er, I mean Gaffer."

Wilder spent too much time on players who, flankly, didnt want to come here. ie Larson and Greaves. Never blended the team correctly, players in and out, persevered with poor loan signings and a shit keeper.
The cynic in me believes the club were targetting players they couldn't get on board anyway just to give the impression they were being ambitious. As for Srand-Larson and particularly Jacob Greaves; it looks like two bullets dodged courtesy of our woeful recruitment clowns.

We are a wasteful club really are. Take the situation with Spence, we basically allowed one of our players win promotion with a rival team. Absolutely fucking bonkers. He should have been dragged back in January nevermind he doesnt want to come back ffs. Frankly, that end of season performance was the catalyst for where we are now. Wilder publically said after that match that some players weren't up too it. Fair enough, but who the fuck was he talking about cos as far as I can see....they are still first team picks. Basically we didnt get a play off place because we continued to play a dodgy keeper. Sorry Wilder, for those reasons you had to go mate. Leo is never a manager, Gibbo, dont arse around too long because this league only needs a manager to get the Basics right.
Looking back now, that, er, legendary Promise-the-world speech was Wilder basically and very publicly calling the clubs bluff (with regards to top draw signings). And as we've seen with the eleven incomers - it failed spectacularly.

Surprised there was no Kieran Scott on that list. After all, he's the one who brought all those dog shit signings to the club, so lets see if he can get a tune out of them?
My God, if someone had told me that by the end of September we'd be desperate for Chuba Akpom to return to fitness to save us from free-falling into the 3rd Divison after listening to Wilder's Churchill-esq end-of-season speech promising this, that & the other, I'd have them certified!!

The UK’s debt to GDP ratio is about 80% much lower than countries like France and Italy. Japan has a ratio in excess of 125%. Kippers is spot on.
Its actually the 2nd lowest of the G7 nations, unlike Italy's where its debt mountain is in danger of crashing the euro - not that our Left-loving mainstream media scaremongers will be shouting that from the rooftops.

Rotherham beating Blackpool 3:0. If we lose on Saturday I think he will be sacked.
I think you'll find theres more chance of him walking. He must be as frustrated as the rest of us with all the second rate dross he's been palmed off with this close season. "Development players" WTF?!?!

Shipping goals all over the place.Top six finish is fantasy.
That was always going to be the case. I just can't believe how many swallowed all this 'promotion' crap. Sure, the majority of it was to sell season tickets - and to clubs credit it worked quite well. But with TWO days before the season opener your ONLY centre-forward is an 18 year-old being prepped for a low league loan you're heading in one direction only. BAUSOR & SCOTT OUT!

A win is a win but Jeez they made hard work of it. Sunderland were poor. Same old story create chances and then miss them. Boro are a team that can’t play all out for 90 minutes plus, yet Wilder has them playing a high pressing game. Not convinced by Wilder at all.
Well we certainly weren't playing a high pressing game tonight thats for sure. So its no wonder we concede so many injury time goals when with 15 minutes to go against an average side stepping inside our opponents half is strictly verboten.

Isn’t that what a discussion is? Or are we all just here to blow smoke up each other’s arses. Tell me where or how my issue is wrong? I called him out because for large parts of the game boro we’re good, yet not a peep. Then as soon as it goes wrong he pops up again. Whether you agree with the term “taking delight” or not it’s accurate here under the commonly accepted meaning.
As for the players Spence was arguably our best player without playing for us, followed by Tav. That’s why they’ve gone for the big bucks. As for the loanees; Balagoun, Connelly and Sporar played a lot for us, and despite them not being great they were some of our better performers. That’s nearly half a team gone and as of yet not fully replaced or improved on.
Am I opposed to disagreements? Absolutely not. I just don't get why its usually perceived negativity that gets challenged rather than rose tinted, blind optimism. Just to add, last seasons "better performers" were the consistency of McNair, Djiksteel and Howson, the quality of Tavernier and Fry, the emergence of Jones and the £750 grand bargain that was Crooks - and thats without including the great contributions of Coburn, Watmore & Bamba. No loanees would get a look-in there, but thats just my opinion, of course.

But as usual we have thrown it away with utter shite defending.
There he is, not interested when we were winning. It was nothing to do with defending, it was a mistake in midfield. Did you have a bit of difficulty understanding what I wrote, and then comparing it to what I said about Bill. Your point is nonsensical. I gave an opinion, which turned out to be wrong, I didn't hide from that and start gloating when the 3 points were lost. Bill on the other hand only gets involved when things are going wrong, he never gives credit where it is due, and takes delight in the negative, which is my point. Pretty sure you can see that if you read things again. For what it is worth my original point still stands. Stoke were poorer than expected, but we really lacked a focal point for the attack. Until we fix that we are mid-table, because we won't put games to bed. We have some very good players in midfield, and the wide areas, and they put some top quality balls into the box. Whatmore did well, but he cannot carry the team alone. Yet its ok for you to post this... We'll get a good bumming tonight, it's not that we are a bad side per se, it's just a tough set of fixtures to start and we are currently midtable at best. But then what do you expect when you sell your best two players, lose some of the better players from last year to expiring loans and then "shop" in the bargain bucket.
Yet you seem to take issue with someone who's views differs to yours. Using words like "takes delight" when his opinions show signs of fruition. Thankfully, not every Middlesbrough fan is indoctrinated by BBC Tees & Gazette sycophancy. Incidently, we didn't sell our best two players at all. Spence contributed nothing to MFCs 21/22 season whereas Tavernier was inconsistent throughout. As for losing some of our better players through loan endings, only Sporar came close to contributing anything, thats unless the totally ineffective Ernal Hernandez, James Lea Siliki, Folarin Balogun or Aaron Connolly rocked your boat?
