Unfortunately for such a long time now Boro have consistently signed dud strikers, even when they splashed the cash. I suspect the Spence money ( when it eventually arrives), wonít all be spent on players. No decent strikers then no serious contender for promotion. Itís simply a fact of football. The other unfortunate thing is we do not produce home grown striker talent. Coburn certainly isnít good enough.

Your credibility is on par with Borisí

How do you know Cobden isnít good enough, heís a kid whoís done alright when heís come in. Can finish too. Maybe heíll develop. Your poster boy mr William sharpe has had comparable spells to Coburn, doesnít stop you rattling on about him

I believe he is called Josh Coburn.

And still we await the arrival of at least two half decent strikers.

I suppose the answer to my question is not a lot.
5  ComeOnBoro.com / ComeOnBoro.com Message Board / Re: Any transfer news? on: July 03, 2022, 12:50:39 PM
Now Wilder himself is hinting that there are real difficulties in signing the strikers he wants.

6  ComeOnBoro.com / ComeOnBoro.com Message Board / Re: Dwight Gayle on: July 01, 2022, 10:05:21 PM
Gayle is not the answer. It would simply be another pay day for a clapped out player. One hopes that Wilder will be able to bring in at least two strikers who will get the goals to secure promotion. Im not holding my breath.

30th of July will soon be upon us.
8  ComeOnBoro.com / ComeOnBoro.com Message Board / Re: Any transfer news? on: June 30, 2022, 08:10:24 AM
Apart from the lack of a decent keeper the major weakness of the squad was the woeful caliber of our four strikers. If you are looking for negativity then that was it,and it still hasnít been addressed.
9  ComeOnBoro.com / ComeOnBoro.com Message Board / Re: Any transfer news? on: June 29, 2022, 06:26:15 PM
Still waiting for those two strikers.
10  ComeOnBoro.com / ComeOnBoro.com Message Board / Re: Any transfer news? on: June 28, 2022, 07:58:43 PM
Just signed Man City second string keeper.
11  ComeOnBoro.com / ComeOnBoro.com Message Board / Re: Any transfer news? on: June 28, 2022, 05:06:35 PM

12  ComeOnBoro.com / ComeOnBoro.com Message Board / Re: Any transfer news? on: June 28, 2022, 02:18:17 PM
Still need to get at least two strikers who can end Boroís inability to take chances.
13  ComeOnBoro.com / ComeOnBoro.com Message Board / Re: Any transfer news? on: June 27, 2022, 04:11:42 PM
Seems itís almost a done deal. Hopefully just back up or a last 20 minutes.
14  ComeOnBoro.com / ComeOnBoro.com Message Board / Re: Any transfer news? on: June 26, 2022, 02:44:33 PM
It seems we are interested in Mc Goldrick.  He will be 35 in November FFS!  Meanwhile Burnley have signed Scot Twine who shows real promise.
15  ComeOnBoro.com / ComeOnBoro.com Message Board / Re: Any transfer news? on: June 26, 2022, 12:52:08 PM
No where near enough business done to create a promotion chasing team.

Whatís Thatcher got to do with it? Didnít we have Blair and Brown for thirteen years? As for food banks people should be prepared to learn to cook from scratch. Itís beginning to sound like a Boreme echo chamber on here.
17  ComeOnBoro.com / ComeOnBoro.com Message Board / Re: Rail Strike and Boreme on: June 24, 2022, 10:44:33 PM
Mrs Buxton and myself went to London for the day. Had a great time. Both train  journeys were excellent. Both on time. I just get the feeling that these strikes will have minimum effect.Ditto the rest of the Public Sector threats.

What Union are tube drivers in?

20  ComeOnBoro.com / ComeOnBoro.com Message Board / Re: Rail Strike and Boreme on: June 22, 2022, 12:45:31 PM
German train drivers paid on average Ä1300 to Ä 2000 per month. RMT are just taking the Mickey.
21  ComeOnBoro.com / ComeOnBoro.com Message Board / Re: Rail Strike and Boreme on: June 22, 2022, 11:58:28 AM
German train drivers are paid much less. Tube drivers ( who could be replaced by automation ) are paid £70K before overtime. They are hardly suffering.
22  ComeOnBoro.com / ComeOnBoro.com Message Board / Re: Rail Strike and Boreme on: June 22, 2022, 08:05:45 AM
Private sector pay increases are not paid by taxpayers.

23  ComeOnBoro.com / ComeOnBoro.com Message Board / Re: Rail Strike and Boreme on: June 21, 2022, 08:58:18 AM
The Public Sector is financed from general taxation. There is no bottomless pit. Public sector employment has other benefits.  Better sick pay arrangements, better maternity and paternity pay arrangements, more holidays, much more job security and vastly better pensions.
Iím afraid there is a culture of entitlement within the PS that needs to be addressed.
24  ComeOnBoro.com / ComeOnBoro.com Message Board / Re: Rail Strike and Boreme on: June 19, 2022, 06:17:06 PM
RMT heading the same way as the NUM.
25  ComeOnBoro.com / ComeOnBoro.com Message Board / Re: Any transfer news? on: June 19, 2022, 03:03:29 PM
I would say two strikers,a left wing back,a big mobile Centre back, a ball carrying mid fielder,a right winger, and A bloody good goalie.
26  ComeOnBoro.com / ComeOnBoro.com Message Board / Rail Strike and Boreme on: June 19, 2022, 02:14:15 PM
Massive support from the usual suspects. Most of whom seem to live a very comfortable middle class lifestyle. Bless them they know no better.

Heís not worth £20 million.
29  ComeOnBoro.com / ComeOnBoro.com Message Board / Re: Djed Spence value just plummeted on: June 16, 2022, 11:44:06 AM
Spence could easily be a ď one hit wonderĒ and talk of £20 m is fanciful to say the least. I suspect if he goes it will be around the £6/7 million mark.

The judge did rule that banks had been defamed but offered no recompense because the tweets and TedTalk were to an  'echo chamber' and therefore of no consequence to Mr Banks.

The appeal will centre around Twitter being a public forum and TedTalks being available on Youtube.

Could you show me where it was evidenced that Bank's funding came from Putin's Russia? Unlike the £500,000 from the Chinese Communist Party to a labour MP, it's just conjecture.

Just let that sink in a bit!

It's amazing isnt it that the £500K bunged to Bejing Barry by an agent of the Chinese Communist Regime never gets aired on Sly or the BBC.
41  ComeOnBoro.com / ComeOnBoro.com Message Board / Re: Djed Spence - £20m? on: June 13, 2022, 06:53:53 PM

Now that Priti has won her court battle ,Boris needs to charter a fleet of 747 cargo planes. 5,000 per week to Rwanda will do nicely. Oh and they can ship those Remainer lefty human rights lawyers too. :mido: :mido: :mido:
43  ComeOnBoro.com / ComeOnBoro.com Message Board / Re: That taxi for Boris on: June 13, 2022, 04:16:39 PM
The judge found in Bankís favour but wouldnít award damages. A very strange decision. Banks may appeal.
44  ComeOnBoro.com / ComeOnBoro.com Message Board / Re: Djed Spence - £20m? on: June 11, 2022, 10:02:47 PM
No one has signed him yet

Neither team deserved to win that game. Didnít do enough. England have caught the Boro malaise. Canít score.

49  ComeOnBoro.com / ComeOnBoro.com Message Board / Re: Will Boris survive the confidence vote? on: June 07, 2022, 07:42:24 PM
Boris will now put the fear of God into the treacherous scum in his party. No doubt there will be a reshuffle. However, his trump card could be to call a vote of confidence in his government. If the Tory traitors vote with the opposition then there will have to be an early election. They will effectively have  signed their own death warrant.Itís rumored that he will take the whip from at least twenty of the worst offenders so they will not be able to stand as a Tory in the election. This vote was no bad thing as he might make get back on track ,and start initiating real Tory policies that ordinary voters want.
50  ComeOnBoro.com / ComeOnBoro.com Message Board / Re: boris survives on: June 06, 2022, 10:47:34 PM
Bigger proportion of his MPs voted for him tonight than in the 2019 leadership election.
