Would be  massive statement of investment.  Cant see it happening though as will be down to the markets to support finance

It would benefit from being a freeport which I think is a fantastic idea

What a fat fucking snob. They're not learning quickly after being torn a new one. I suppose she deserves some credit for saying what she thinks rather than just acting how she thinks like most of her comrades.

It's called genuine socialism ie looking after the interests of those down the pecking order in life. Your ilk should try it some time instead of just talking about it.
7  ComeOnBoro.com / ComeOnBoro.com Message Board / Steve Bruce - disgusting comment about the ref on: Today at 10:24:38 AM
What a horrible fat ugly cunt for a scathing attack on the ability of a ref making is PL debut

Claimed the game was too much for him because he awarded Burnley a corner that led to the Burnley goal.

Would he say that about a player on either side?

What a cunt. Lad is trying to develop in the game.

21  ComeOnBoro.com / ComeOnBoro.com Message Board / Re: seriously what do Labour need to do? on: December 13, 2019, 09:53:18 AM
Perhaps they should be "The BRITISH Labour Party" rather than "The INTERNATIONALIST Labour Party"

Stop accusing everyone that disagrees with their internationalist approach as racist, when the reality is Britain is one of the most accepting countries in the world when it comes to other cultures that make some effort to assimilate. They should try living in Asia. Hell they should try living in Australia.

Get past this idea that equality always means both lifting up some whilst dragging back others. For example if a woman of any creed or colour is the best person for the job, that's great, not that we need to encourage white men to take a step back (as Jess Phillips believes). How about just trying to lift up the people at the bottom.

Be honest about the NHS and why there are "cuts" at the same time as record spend. The elephant in the room is immigration, not an aging population.

Keep popular core policies. Most people would probably get behind the idea of a living wage or nationalising natural monopolies such as the rail network. Less so with attacking the idea of property rights. Perhaps recognize we currently live in a neoliberal world. Keynesian policies are one thing...continually trying to buy votes by throwing theoretical money at social justice issues time and again is not going to make them look fiscally responsible.

But most of all focus on the working man and woman, and put to one side the extreme social justice purity movements within the party. The majority of their support are obviously going to be white working class men and women, you can support minorities without lambasting the historically native population.

Simply put, I think the party needs to decide if it wants to be centrist (which is still on the left from the perspective of most Brits) or be an actual left-wing party (which is way to extreme for your average moderate Britain).

But I'm not a labour voter, so what do I know

Shocking performance tonight and throughout comrade Corbyn's tenure. They ignored their traditional voters to pursue a Marxist agenda. They also ignored the fact the obvious sign that people couldn't stand Corbyn and Diane Abbot being a figure of ridicule. Jon Ashworth was right - he wasn't joshing as we can now see.

They need a proper leader and change of policies and ethics that help all.

Jimmy if you think it's a well run business what are you basing this assertion on? Not a loaded question BTW.

In my opinion a critical element of being run effectively is the investment in the team which can make or break the club. You need decent return on your investments to grow a business and the levels involved are a significant % of turnover. Recruitment for a long time has been absolutely abysmal (for whatever reason), even up to the last window. This is a fundamental reason why it is so shit now. For this reason I would question how the club has been run as a business for some time.

it's a well run FOOTBALL CLUB, it's not a business in the conventional sense, football clubs don't run like that. If it were ran on profit/loss most clubs would be out of business years ago.

No basis then?  :alf:

The game needs an overhaul. Players earn too much and have too much power. Clubs are not run like businesses and full of thick dictators, yes men and former players. Just look at Gibbo's recruitment team. They also treat paying customers like shite. I'm sick of looking at foreign mercenaries going through the motions and even Gibson has seen light here. Invest in youth ffs.

You can see why the public sector is full of these left wing freaks. Taking taxpayers money from the BBC for whatever he does on the radio with his crank partner Fisher stinks of pure cronyism.
