Unfortunately this site is now the preserve of chav attention seekers. They are neither funny nor informative. They probably represent the very worst of the Teesside gutter. The worst of it is that their " contributions" have virtually anything to do with Middlesbrough FC.Putting it as simply as I can the site is not worth reading.Admin please take note.I shall be going back to F M T T M.

The guy on the Beeb commentary was mightily impressed with Christie's athleticism, such was the nature and the frequency of the praise it wouldn't have been a stretch to assume he was, ahem, stretching one out over him as he typed.

You can buy special pads, like giant sanitary towel type things, that the dog is attracted to piss and shit on by scent. Stick them around the house. If you catch it pissing or shitting elsewhere then pick it up and put it on the mats.

The whole transfer thing is a joke, Barce complaining about PSG, then tapping up Coutinho, who has Liverpool complaining about Barce, while Liverpool do it to other clubs.  Should either be a free for all, or there should be no tapping up unless a formal approach is made.  Anything else is chaotic.
16  ComeOnBoro.com / ComeOnBoro.com Message Board / Re: Forgot how beautiful the Lake District was on: August 11, 2017, 12:43:37 PM
Good Italian heading away from the lake. Didn't try anywhere else in Bowness itself but yes lots and lots of options. Would try and go outside of the school holidays next time. The crowds were the only thing that annoyed me slightly.

Bowness/Windermere is all of the lakes a lot of people, better to head further in.  Never really stay in them 2 places now, usually Ambleside, but occasionally Keswick, Grasmere or one of the other smaller towns/villages.  Sometimes the crowds are unbelievable if several coaches turn up at once.
17  ComeOnBoro.com / ComeOnBoro.com Message Board / Re: Forgot how beautiful the Lake District was on: August 11, 2017, 12:02:56 PM
Funnily enough there is that one and another one two doors down. The other one is called Siam something, can't remember now but its a bit strange having two so close together in such a small place. Jintara was much nicer but was also a lot more expensive.

Really good food options in most of the Lakes towns, considering they are small country towns.

Bowness used to have a decent Mexican too, plus a couple of good curry houses, along with the usual pub/restaurant types.

Went to Bowness for a stag weekend 20 years ago. Superb. Especially wake boarding at 10 in the morning after a day on the lash followed by a night club.

The only late night club/pub that i could find was called the Flying Pig? Might have got that wrong, i was a little worse for wear when I visited.

There was/is a night club at the top of the lake in Bowness, in the boating club if I remember right.  They used to serve pies on your way out.  Was excellent food after a heavy session.  There may have been on in the basement bar of one of the pubs in Bowness too, can't remember though.

Great Thai restaurant in Ambleside.  Think Ambleside is probably the best town these days, easy access to Grasmere too, which is rather pleasant.

Jintana.

They have three in the Lake District now. We went to the one in Bowness near to our hotel. Excellent service, tremendous food and sitting upstairs surrounded by authentic Thai memorabilia made it a great experience.

Highly recommended.

I've been to the one in Windermere and the one in Ambleside, top notch places.  Will try Bowness next time I'm over there!

I'm really not. You don't have a clue what you're talking about.

Talking shite about McGregor will try something different. Like no other Fighter Fighting Floyd has tried to go in there & rough him up, charge at him at a crazy pace. It's a different story once they're in there.

Almost every time they end up sulking about plodding around waiting for the final bell. This is how it is.

Floyd is under no insane pressure to KO Conor. Everyone in Boxing knows Floyds hands are made of glass. He'll be safety first as always. Then fuck off out of the ring for good.

There's no need to get aggressive over boxing, your whole super boxing fan thing is pretty pathetic right now. Debate the point without the name calling it is that beyond you?

Bottom line is the people mayweather fought were boxers, of whatever level, they weren't mma fighters. This will be totally different. I don't claim he'll win, I quite clearly state mayweather will probably school him, most likely school him. I argued the fight was interesting and boxing fans like yourself ignore the fact that a large portion of boxing is a joke anyway, this doesn't bring anything further into dispute.

Jake making my point for be pretty well here. It's 99% Mayweather will school him, there is an exceptionally slim chance mcgregor pulls something off. Irrespective of records. That is the interest, plus the freak show aspect and a lot of people buy into the whole bullshit world tour thing too.

46  ComeOnBoro.com / ComeOnBoro.com Message Board / Re: Running 5k on: August 01, 2017, 01:04:18 PM
To be honest you could probably just go out and run 5km now, without too much hassle, especially if you play football and train a bit (notwithstanding any issues with joints etc).

I would start running 2/3 times a week, first time out just try jogging for as long as you can and see how comfortable you are.  Start with a slow jog, barely more than walking.  If you need to walk, then walk.  You should just concentrate on running within yourself when you start, and keep your heart rate low, don't go hell for leather.  Build distance depending on how you feel.  Rest depending on how you feel too.

When you get up to the distance you could start with intervals, and other things, depends what you want to achieve.  These things are more for speed and endurance.  Good one I use for the football lads is 800m run at 3/4 of your max pace, with 2 minute rest (walking active recovery).  I usually give them 4/5 rounds, but if I do it I do 10-12 rounds.  You could also do some sprint intervals - 400m run 3min res, 300m run 2min rest, 200m run 1min rest, 100m run 30sec rest x two or three rounds.  Loads of options out there.

To put things in perspective, 5km is usually a 30min activity tops, when you train a bit.  Most half fit people can just go out and do this.  I went from 30mins to around 20mins in no time at all.

Get some proper shoes too if you're going to run a lot, go to a running shop and get a gait analysis, the one in Stokesley is very good.  Your knees, hips, ankles, back will thank you.

You miss the point.  It may be a "boxing match" but it certainly isn't "boxing".  He won't fight Mayweather like a boxer, because he isn't one.

McGregor isn't going to go in there like a boxer would, irrespective of level.  He doesn't care about points, doesn't matter if Floyd beats him in a snoozefest 12 rounds contest, McGregor wins in the media even then.  He will have to go for a knockout.  He will probably risk getting hurt to achieve this.  This fight won't be boxing as people know it, no matter how easy it should be (and in all fairness most probably will be) for Mayweather.  McGregor will try something unusual, and he is the bigger man and has a punchers chance.  This is what makes it interesting.  Styles make fights.  People have got it into their heads that McGregor is going to go in a try to outbox Mayweather, this won't happen.  McGregor is a lot of things, stupid is not one of them.

49  ComeOnBoro.com / ComeOnBoro.com Message Board / Re: FM vs Mcgregor £20 sky box office on: August 01, 2017, 11:51:25 AM
Always been "freak show" fights in MMA and kick boxing. This will be a massive seller. Think a lot of boxing fans are coming across a bit snobbish or precious in this, their choice though, as with everything.

Very true.

It is because many fear this will damage Boxing. Plenty casual Sports fans who buy this PPV will be very disappointed after the 'fight'. After the shambles, they won't be prepared to get involved with Boxing for a very long time.

The main problem I have with boxing is the managing of careers, and the dubious fights, opponents and decisions that go hand in hand with this.  People saying here that McGregor has no chance against Mayweather, how many of his other 49 opponents had no chance?  How many other top boxers fight no-hopers to build a legacy, or build a record?  It just seems a bit sniffy to me to say this is a farce, when a lot of other boxing matches are quite clearly farcical too.

They want to fight, fair play to him for stepping up to it, they both fancy their chances and it will be an interesting spectacle one way or the other.  People need to stop thinking of it as a standard boxing match though, it is entertainment, it is not someone building a career in the usual way.
