The club needs a complete shake up and needs to offer an incoming talent as manager the opportunity to build the club on the Ajax type structure.
I belive we should offer Wim Jonk (current Ajax U19 Academy Mgr) the chance to rebuild Middlesbrough FC!

Give him Darren Randolph, Dael Fry, Lewis Wing and Tav and the U21's and U19's. Give him the budget and freedom to recreate the academy structure, to design recruitment roles and structures along the lines of Ajax, scouting for youth talent and developing the positive, attractive style of football we've been so starved of for so long.
In year one we should accept (expect?) relegation and, if it happens, celebrate survival in the Championship. Give him a 6 year contract and change the club forever for the better.

We can't keep doing what we're doing, it hasn't worked and we don't have the money any more.

Now, it might not be Wim Jonk, it might be someone else but whoever it is should be forward thinking, youth focused and supported fully in terms of infrastucture changes throughout the club. They need to be allowed to lose, to even get relegated, but to completely re-focus what we are about as a club with the longer term aim of Premier League football played positively in front of happy crowds.

It won't happen though.

I'm pretty sure Aitor Karanka and Gary monk were meant to be the future. If we are relying on players like Lewis wing and an unproven tav we really are in the shit.
